As early as the Spring and Autumn Period, Confucius had the habit of never leaving ginger all the year round. There is a saying in The Analects of Confucius and the hard-working townships that "ginger doesn't eat, let alone eat". In Compendium of Materia Medica, Li Shizhen also praised the wonderful use of ginger: "Ginger, pungent and effortless, can be cooked, reconciled, fruitful and medicinal."
The soup boiled with ginger also has a name called "Resurrection Soup". In Su Dongpo's Miscellaneous Syndrome, an 80-year-old monk in Jingci Temple, Qiantang, who looked like a boy, was also recorded. He asked him why he was "dressed in ginger for forty years, so he was not old."
There are also folk sayings such as "three slices of ginger in the morning, no need to open them", "ginger in winter, no fear of wind and frost", "radish in winter and ginger in summer, no need to ask a doctor for a prescription" and "ginger at home, no need to panic about minor illnesses".
How to eat and keep healthy?
first step
Slice ginger, preferably with fresh ginger vinegar and original balsamic vinegar. The combination of the two has a great health preserving effect. There is also a kind of ginger practice, that is, soaking ginger in persimmon vinegar in western Henan. This regimen has a history of thousands of years. The living conditions of local people are very low, but the average life expectancy is very long, which is a good product to prolong life.
Second step
Put ginger in the bottle, and then pour vinegar into the bottle. Note that this bottle must be cleaned, and there must be no oil in the bottle to avoid ginger deterioration. Vinegar must not pass through the ginger slices, so the ginger slices can't be exposed. Then, put this bottle of ginger slices soaked in vinegar in the refrigerator.
