Wuqinxi is five kinds of animals: tiger, deer, bear, ape and bird.

Five-animal play is a set of guiding techniques compiled by Hua Tuo, a famous doctor in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, according to the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, imitating the movements and demeanor of five animals, such as tigers, deer, bears, apes and birds.

Wuqinxi is an important method of traditional health guidance in China. Hua Tuo created the Five Birds Play on the basis of the Two Birds Play in Zhuangzi, and its name and function are recorded in the Biography of Hua Tuo in the Later Han Dynasty: "I have one skill and am famous for the Five Birds Play: tiger for one day, deer for two days, bear for three days, ape for four days and bird for five days."

And compiled and published "Fitness Qigong Wuqinxi", which was published by People's Sports Publishing House in 2003.

The movements of "Fitness Qigong Wuqinxi" are arranged according to the order of tigers, deer, bears, apes and birds in the annals of the Three Kingdoms, and the number of movements is recorded in Tao Hongjing's Health Record. Each play has two movements, including ten movements, which imitate the tiger's ferocity, the deer's comfort, the bear's calmness, the monkey's dexterity and the bird's agility, and strive to contain the "five birds". In 2006, hua tuo wuqinxi was approved by the people's government as a provincial intangible cultural heritage project, and 201kloc-0/was named the third batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects by the State Council.
