Selected Graduates? Orientation? Wei peisheng? What's the difference between them?
Simply put, the difference is as follows:

Selected Graduates:

The organization department plans to select fresh graduates with excellent academic performance from colleges and universities to work at the grassroots level, focusing on training them to become reserve candidates for party and government leading cadres and high-quality staff of party and government organs at or above the county level. These graduates are called "Selected Graduates" for short.

Welcome students:

"Directional employment" enrollment is a policy formulated to help remote areas, ethnic minority areas and industries with difficult working environment to train talents and ensure that they obtain a certain number of graduates. Colleges and universities can appropriately combine the source areas of enrollment with the employment situation of graduates, and incorporate them into the "targeted employment" enrollment plan according to a certain proportion of the national enrollment plan. Candidates voluntarily fill in the college orientation employment enrollment volunteers and once they are admitted as orientation students according to relevant policies. There are national defense students and ordinary students at present. Candidates are required to sign relevant employment-oriented agreements with universities and targeted employment units before enrollment, and universities can cancel their admission qualifications for students who refuse to sign the agreements without reason.

Wei Peisheng:

Entrusted students (fee-paying entrusted students) are students trained by schools entrusted by relevant departments or units. The training fee is paid by the entrusting department or unit to the school (or by the students' families). Students will be employed in strict accordance with the contract after graduation.
