Video introduction: Tunliu Daoqing "Damei Tunliu", performed by Shen Haihua.
Tunliu Daoqing, also known as "Daoqiang" or "Fishing Drum", is performed in the form of rap, mostly by one person. Performers embrace fishing drums, hold simple wooden boards, or sit or stand and rap. After that, the fishing drum was replaced by a single cymbal. Holding a simple board in the left hand, hanging a cymbal on the little finger, and tapping the cymbal with chopsticks in the right hand as a prelude and interlude.
The early singing was in the form of several plates, the first half was chanting, and finally only a simple drawl was hummed. After absorbing some local folk songs, it gradually formed a relatively stable singing method. Traditional representative programs are mostly medium-length and long, including Biography of Han Xiangzi, Twenty-four Filial Pieties, Laundry, An alchemy, Liu Quan Entering the Melon, Pearl Roller Curtain, Big Eight Meanings, Little Eight Meanings, and Li Cuilian Hanging himself.
