Tibet Airlines Co., Ltd. is the first plateau airline approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and its main operating base is located in Lhasa Gongga International Airport.

The company officially made its maiden voyage on July 26th, 20 1 1, and the maiden voyage route was Lhasa-Ali. Tibet Airlines is mainly engaged in domestic air passenger and cargo transportation, and is the first airline in the world to operate on the plateau.

After careful exploration and field flight test, Tibet Airlines has successfully achieved overnight shutdown in Lhasa and night flight normalization at Gongga Airport in Lhasa, ending the 46-year history of no overnight flight base and night flight normalization in Tibet.
