The difference between winding stem and climbing stem
First, the stems are different.

Climbing stems: Because their stems are too slender to stand upright, they have to rely on other objects as props. 2. Winding the stem: The stem has no special auxiliary structures such as tendrils and suckers, and can only grow along other objects in a winding way.

Second, the growth mode is different.

1, climbing stem growth mode:

(1) Grape, cucumber, towel gourd, pea and other plants grow by tendrils on climbing stems;

(2) Parthenocissus tricuspidata is attached to the wall through suckers on short branches;

(3) Lawn grass growing on the roadside has many hooks on its stems for hanging on other objects to climb and grow.

2, winding stem growth mode:

(1) The winding direction is left-handed (counterclockwise), such as the stems of morning glory, potted flower, Aristolochia, kidney bean, rhythm grass and American ginseng, which are wound from right to left, and are called right-handed winding stems;

(2) The winding direction is to the right (clockwise). For example, lentils, honeysuckle, wisteria, kidney beans, and curly stems are rotated and wound from left to right, which is called left twisted stems;

(3) The winding direction can be left or right, which is called neutral winding rod, also called left and right winding rod.

Third, different living habits.

1, climbing stem life habit: climbing stem is slender, weak and cannot stand upright. Climb and grow by attaching tendrils or sucker organs to other things.

2, winding stem life habits: winding the grown stem on the bracket. When the stems are tender, they are too soft to stand upright. If the stems are wrapped in scaffolds, the branches and leaves will grow well. If it leaves the bracket, it will fall to the ground.
