How can I get into the Tao?
There are two forms to join Taoism: one is to become a formal Taoist, and the other is to become a Taoist layman.

There are two ways to become a formal Taoist, one is to become a full-fledged Taoist, and the other is to become an orthodox Taoist. Both of them have to go through the formalities of learning from the teacher, but the former must go to the Taoist temple and become a monk, while the latter does not need to become a monk.

The process of becoming a Quanzhen Taoist is as follows:

1, with supporting materials:

1) Hold the original and photocopy of the ID card;

2) I volunteered to become a monk;

3) Written certificate signed by parents;

4) No criminal record or other serious criminal record certificate (if it is a local monk, the local neighborhood Committee, street and village organization can prove it; If you are a monk in a different place, you need a certificate from the local police station or the public security department. )

2. Go to the Taoist temple, submit materials, and stay temporarily with the consent of the temple management agency.

3. I voluntarily apply for and choose a master's degree.

4. After one or two years' investigation, if you are at ease with Taoism, you will be given the crown scarf and all the rules and regulations.

Step 5 become a monk officially

Generally speaking, Master can teach orthodox Taoists to learn from the scriptures as long as they have good faith and morality, and they are prepared for unexpected events.

To become a Taoist layman, you only need to apply for a conversion certificate at the Taoist temple. Generally, it is necessary to pay the fee of Taoist conversion certificate to the Religious Affairs Bureau, which varies from place to place. Generally, it is 50- 100 yuan/three years.
