Heming Ancient Town is "the first hydrological alias town in the south of the Yangtze River", with beautiful scenery, humanistic residence, cultural experience and leisure and health preservation. There are many ancient buildings in the town, such as the well-preserved Xiaowufang, No.24 Zoumalou, Yin Hao (Shen Shi Mansion), Jin Xian Zen Temple, and Millennium Temple. It is a bright, soft and glutinous handmade rice cake, jiaozi, which looks like a candy ball of a lovely mouse and tastes sweet and smooth.
"Twenty-four Zoumalou" was built by Xifeng, the cotyledon of Ye Xinpei, a giant Chinese medicine merchant. It has a history of more than 200 years. There are 7 rooms, 2 lanes and 2 floors. The corridor around the floor is accessible, upstairs and downstairs, with a large area, and you can even ride a horse. The interior decoration is exquisite. The pillars are engraved with auspicious decorations, and the walls are made of dragons and phoenixes. Therefore, there are "cloisters"
The owner of the Silver House (Shen Shi House) is Shen. According to legend, Shen Shi's ancestors once opened a silver building in Beijing, and after accumulating wealth, donated officials to build the Wumashan Wall Building here. Now the house has been changed into a silver house inn, but the overall appearance remains the same.
Jin Xian Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, is located on the shore of Baiyangdian Lake, with its back to the hidden mountain and south to Baiyangdian Lake. There are seven white pagodas in front of the water, which are known as "the scenic spots of mountains and lakes". The temple was once an important place for anti-Japanese activities in eastern Zhejiang.
Wandering in the winding alley, on the gray walls on both sides of the alley, you can also see the high horse head gable, herringbone slope and blue tile, which is the most beautiful scene of the horse head wall in the ancient town.
