The main clinical symptoms of arthralgia syndrome are unfavorable joint flexion and extension or aversion to cold and fever, and thin and white tongue coating. The pain of joint pain is localized by severe limb joint pain, while the pain is relieved by heat. In case of cold pain, the joints can't flex, the skin color is not red locally, and the touch is not hot. The tongue coating is thin and white, and the pulse is tight, while the pain is limited to the pain of limbs and joints, heavy hands and feet, inconvenient movement, insensitive skin and white and greasy tongue coating. Local burning, swelling, tenderness, slight cold, multiple joints, accompanied by fever, bad wind, thirst, irritability and other systemic symptoms, yellow and dry tongue coating, slippery pulse. Here I will explain the treatment of pain and numbness in traditional Chinese medicine through the medical record of a patient I treated clinically. The patient is a 46-year-old male. When she came to see a doctor, the main symptoms were upper limb pain and severe shoulder pain. When she comes, she can't lift her shoulders, touch her ears, and turn her arms outward. She said that her shoulders were particularly afraid of the wind and cold, and she put an extra towel on her right shoulder outside her underwear when she came.
The ulna is a little weak. Before the patient came, the ESR of western medicine was a little high, and anti-O and rheumatoid factor were negative. Basically, she was given a Chinese patent medicine for hormone therapy, expelling wind and removing dampness, promoting blood circulation and dredging collaterals. I took medicine at home for more than a month, but the effect was not good. When I was heartbroken, my stomach showed symptoms of stomachache. According to the symptoms of this patient, I mainly treat it by expelling wind and dredging collaterals, dispelling cold and removing dampness, warming meridians and relieving pain. Come back after taking the medicine for a week and report that the pain in the right shoulder is relieved. The swelling and pain of wrists and fingers have also eased, but she said that her stomach is still uncomfortable and sometimes acid reflux. On the basis of the above, I used the product of regulating stomach and strengthening spleen for another week. A week later, she came for a follow-up visit, saying that she had enough shoulder movements and could touch her back to her waist.
Wrist and finger pain was obviously relieved, and stomach pain and acid reflux were basically improved. I treated this patient for a week with products that warm channels and dispel cold, regulate stomach and strengthen spleen, and warm kidney and replenish qi. When he came back for a follow-up visit, he said that her shoulder pain basically disappeared, her wrists and fingers no longer hurt, and her body felt relaxed. Through this medical record, I want to explain to you that we are treating.
Besides expelling wind and removing dampness, warming meridians and dispelling cold, dredging collaterals and relieving pain, patients' stomach qi must be taken care of during the treatment to ensure that pungent and warm drugs do not harm the spleen and stomach and affect the absorption of drugs. In the later stage, the product of eliminating dampness, strengthening spleen and warming kidney was used as consolidation treatment and recuperation.
