Dong Zhongshu was a famous scholar in the Western Han Dynasty. At his suggestion, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty ordered "to oust a hundred schools of thought and respect Confucianism alone", thus establishing the dominant position of Confucian academic thought. Dong Zhongshu is from Hebei. When he was born, it was during the reign of Emperor Wen of Han Dynasty. Emperor Wendi and his successor Jing Didu were emperors who encouraged recuperation. Next, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty ordered the world to "oust hundreds of schools and respect Confucianism alone". Since then, Confucianism has become a good strategy for the feudal dynasty to govern the country.
