What kind of water is used to raise goldfish?
I. Well water

Well water is generally warm in winter and cool in summer, which is rich in minerals and suitable for keeping goldfish. There are two kinds of well water: deep well water and shallow well water, among which shallow well water is more suitable for fish farming. The pumped well water should be exposed to sunlight 12-36 hours according to the depth of the stratum, which is more conducive to the health of fish.

Second, the rivers and lakes

These kinds of water belong to natural water sources, because of their extensive contact with air and sunlight, high dissolved oxygen content, PH value between 7.0 and 8.0, and abundant plankton. Feeding goldfish with this kind of water will help the fish to have bright colors. But it is very important that it must be an excellent river and lake water source that has not been polluted.

Third, spring water.

Spring water is an underground warm water source, with relatively pure water quality, few organic matters and many soluble salts. Using spring water to raise goldfish grows slowly, so try to keep the water temperature balanced when using it.

Fourth, distilled water.

Distilled water is characterized by no oxygen or little oxygen, which is not suitable for keeping goldfish. If you want to use it, you should expose it to the sun until the dissolved oxygen is sufficient.

Verb (abbreviation for verb) tap water

The most common and convenient is tap water, which belongs to artificial water source. Every household uses tap water, the water quality is relatively clean, and there are fewer impurities, bacteria and harmful substances. It is ok to keep goldfish. However, it should be noted that the chloride ion content in tap water is high, and it is easy to cause poisoning if it is directly used to raise fish. Therefore, there is a very important link before use, which is dechlorination.

There are two methods for dechlorination of tap water, namely air drying method and chemical method.

Air-drying to remove chlorine, tap water should be exposed in the sun, and the exposure time depends on the chlorine content in the water, generally more than 48 hours. If it is cloudy or sunny, you need to put a pot of tap water for 4-5 days to achieve the purpose of dechlorination.

When there is no water in special circumstances and tap water must be used immediately, chemical dechlorination should be adopted. The method is to add 2-3 grams of baking soda (sodium thiosulfate) to each cubic meter of tap water, stir the water slightly, and complete the dechlorination process in about 30 minutes.
