I think the closest thing should be the rule of Wenjing. Liu Bang established the Han Dynasty, and the early Western Han Dynasty was the closest to the Taoist idea of governing by doing nothing. In the early years of the Western Han Dynasty, several generations of rulers often took the death of Qin as a warning, and realized that to achieve a relatively stable and sustainable political situation, they must try their best to ease class contradictions, share interest with the people, and govern by doing nothing. As a result, the ideas of governing by doing nothing, complementing punishment and morality, abstinence and frugality, and loving the people and supporting the army in Huang Lao's thought quickly turned into a series of practical ruling policies. After Liu Bang's death, Xiao Hui and Gao Hou successively took power.

The Qin dynasty ruled the world with pure legalism, which was too harsh. The Han Dynasty learned a lesson, but both Taoism and Confucianism paid attention to it in the early days, especially in order to recuperate in the early days, which was closer to doing nothing. However, in the era of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, after Dong Zhongshu ousted a hundred schools of thought, Confucianism began to prevail and Taoism began to be marginalized. In fact, pure Confucianism is too weak, so later generations rule the country under the rule of external Confucianism and internal law.

It can be said that Taoism has reached the highest development in the rule of Wenjing. Before Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty, Confucianism was the only respect. The upper class of the Han Dynasty believed in the theory of Huang Lao (of course, Liu Bang relied on legalism when he founded the country), and Taoism said inaction, which means' the monarch does nothing and the people do something', so that the upper class would not disturb the people. The thought of inaction was also accepted by Wen Di and He, and the rule of Wen Di had a lot to do with the thought of inaction of Taoism.

Ancient Taoism is a school with a long history. Taoism is a philosophical thought put forward by Laozi and Zhuangzi during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Their academic thoughts have a certain influence on the formation of TCM health preservation. The "Tao" advocated by Taoism refers to the nature of all things in heaven and earth and the law of their natural circulation. Everything in nature is in constant motion and change, and Tao is its basic law.
