Roots, stems and leaves of plants belong to vegetative organs, and reproduction with roots, stems and leaves is also called vegetative reproduction. For example, potato tubers are often used for propagation in production. This is asexual reproduction, and there is no process in which sperm and egg cells combine to form fertilized eggs, so offspring generally do not mutate, which is beneficial to (that is, advantages of) maintaining the excellent characteristics of parents and accelerating plant reproduction.
