Changde City now governs Wuling District, Dingcheng District, Anxiang, Hanshou County, Taoyuan County, Linli County, Shimen County and Lixian County, with a total of 6 counties and 2 districts, and manages the county-level city of Tianjin, as well as Changde Economic and Technological Development Zone, Liuyehu Tourism Resort, West Lake Management Zone, West Dongting Management Zone and Taohuayuan Tourism Management Zone. There are 43 streets, 126 townships (towns), 1507 organic villages and 756 community neighborhood committees.

Changde, located in the northwest of Hunan Province, is a famous "land of plenty" in the south of the Yangtze River, located in the Dongting Lake water system in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the lower reaches of the Yuanjiang River and the middle and lower reaches of the Lishui River, and the northern end of Wuling Mountain and Xuefeng Mountain in Shandong. Changde

Changde City is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hunan Province, a sub-central city of Hunan Province, and has the title of "International Wetland City". Emperor Gaozu of the Western Han Dynasty took the meaning of "stopping Ge as a soldier and Gao Ping as a mausoleum" and changed the county in central Guizhou to Wuling County, which was subordinate to Jingzhou Secretariat. 1988, Changde area was abolished and Changde city was established.
