Su Shi's health four words
Su Shi's four words of health preservation: "Things are rare, and going to bed early is rich; Think of time as a car and eat it as meat at night.

According to legend, a gentleman asked Su Dongpo for the secret recipe of longevity, and he only answered in four sentences, namely, "things are rare, and going to bed early is rich;" Walking like a car and eating like meat at night. " It is in this spirit that Su Dongpo treated everything in his life with disappointment, so he was able to remain healthy and happy in his later years.

Nothing is expensive.

Su Dongpo advocates that once a person lives in the world, he should not think too much about fame and fortune, honor and disgrace, be attached to the officialdom, and be willful and happy, which can promote his longevity more than being rich or expensive.

In his view, people should take the spirit away from the pursuit of material desires such as fame and fortune outside the body, use it to maintain their health, and take indifferent fame and fortune as "expensive".

Go to bed early to get rich.

The ancients said, "Sleeping and eating are the most important tasks of health preservation" and "people who can sleep, eat and live a long life". If you don't get enough sleep, overwork and consume qi and blood for a long time, it will further damage the five internal organs and lead to various diseases.

Developing good living habits, especially going to bed early and getting up early, is more precious than acquiring any wealth, and it is an important guarantee for the human body to nourish qi and blood and cultivate the body.

These two points seem ordinary, but they are not easy to do in practice. Simply saying "going to bed early" was not difficult in Su Dongpo's time, but it is not so simple for modern people. I suggest that everyone must form the habit of going to bed early.

Walk leisurely instead of sitting in a carriage.

In modern society, cars enter the family with an irresistible trend, which brings challenges to energy, environment and transportation. In fact, as long as the time is sufficient and the distance is appropriate, people may wish to "take it easy" to keep fit.

Su Shi's idea of "riding like a car" is not to pursue comfort excessively, but to ride less, walk more and exercise more, so as to keep fit and prolong life.

The city is crowded and complicated, so people might as well arrange their own time, put aside the traffic tools that make people "blocked", take a step and experience the power of walking for themselves.

Eat it as meat at night.

The ancients had a lot of experience about "moderate diet". In Shou Shi Bao Yuan, it is advocated that "food is half full and tasteless, and wine is only three minutes diligent". This also coincides with Su Shi's concept of "eating meat at night".

Su Shi advocates that everyone should eat moderately and eat when he feels hungry, but don't eat too much. In addition, he also advocates eating as little meat as possible, saying that "sweet and greasy" is "a medicine that ruins the intestines" and makes people obese; It is believed that frying a small amount of meat with vegetables will make people neither fat nor thin and keep healthy.
