Can I eat persimmons when I drink coffee?
Not recommended.

According to the public health network, persimmon and coffee are not recommended to be eaten together. Persimmon contains tannic acid, and coffee contains caffeine and calcium. Tannic acid easily combines with calcium in coffee to form kidney calculi. Persimmons are cold, bitter and coffee bitter. Eating at the same time may promote gastric acid secretion. Excessive gastric acid secretion will cause damage to gastric mucosa, leading to stomach pain, bloating, acid reflux and other discomfort.

Neither can be eaten on an empty stomach. Coffee contains caffeine. Drinking on an empty stomach will stimulate the secretion of gastric acid, which will stimulate the gastrointestinal tract even more, especially for people with weak gastrointestinal function. Persimmon contains a lot of tannic acid and pectin. Eating on an empty stomach will aggravate the irritation to gastric mucosa, so it is not recommended to drink coffee or eat persimmons on an empty stomach.
