Qujing is located in the east of Yunnan Province, at the source of the Pearl River, bordering Guizhou Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the east, Wenshan Prefecture and Honghe Prefecture in the south, Kunming City in the west and Zhaotong City in the north.
