Zhang zhen, born in 1928, is the first master of traditional Chinese medicine in Yunnan province. He founded Yunling College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and is a leading figure in the study of TCM syndromes in China. He advocated relaxing and regulating qi movement as one of the internal treatment methods, attached great importance to the innate nature of human body, and was good at regulating spleen and kidney and coping with chronic intractable diseases.
