Qi stagnation and blood stasis refers to the pathological state of blood circulation disorder caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis.
Qi stagnation and blood stasis are mostly caused by emotional internal injuries, depression and qi stagnation, leading to blood stasis. The liver governs the release of qi and stores blood, and the release of liver qi plays a key role in regulating qi activity, so qi stagnation and blood stasis are closely related to the non-release of liver qi. Clinically, there are many symptoms such as fullness and pain in the chest and hypochondrium and symptom accumulation. The lung governs qi, regulates the whole body qi, and assists the heart to transport blood. If the pathogen blocks the lung qi, it will lead to qi stagnation and blood stasis in the heart and lungs, and for a long time, there will be symptoms such as cough, palpitation, chest obstruction, cyanosis of the lips and tongue coating.
Qi stagnation can lead to blood stasis, and blood stasis is bound to be accompanied by qi stagnation. Because qi stagnation and blood stasis are mutually causal and coexist at the same time, it is often difficult to clearly distinguish which comes first. Such as flash trauma and other factors, that is, qi stagnation and blood stasis are simultaneously formed. But no matter what causes qi stagnation and blood stasis, we must distinguish the primary and secondary qi stagnation and blood stasis.
