When you are exhausted, why not learn from Huang?
An old Chinese doctor in Beijing has been treating cancer for decades. I asked him: what is the cause of cancer after contacting so many cancer patients?

He said: most people get sick because they don't vent their anger, and then there is cause and effect. Everything has a soul. Be kind to others and all sentient beings. This is the Buddha's thought. But many people who study Buddhism just recite the scriptures, and it doesn't matter if their thoughts don't change. Should they get sick or not? So we need to let go of everything, let go of everything in this world, and be natural and healthy!

If you change your mind and let go of natural health, you can put it on the famous painter Huang before the age of 86.

1.

Huang lived to be 50 years old. Before the age of 50, he was keen on fame, read four books and five classics, and took the imperial examination. Due to the change of the scientific system in Yuan Dynasty, he became a bookkeeper in Lian Fang Department of West Zhejiang at the age of 45.

The official hasn't been working for a few days. His immediate boss, Zhang Lu, killed nine people because of corruption and land plunder. The court arrested Zhang Lu and Huang, by the way.

When Huang got out of prison, he was already in his fifties. In the Tang Dynasty, Du Fu said that "life is seventy years old and rare". The life expectancy of people in the Yuan Dynasty is not much different from that of people in the Tang Dynasty, and those who can live to be over 70 years old are equally rare. Therefore, after 50-year-old Huang was released from prison, only death was waiting for him, which seemed to be the only thing left.

But death is never the most terrible thing in life. The most terrible thing in life is that people are not old, their hearts are dead, and when their hearts are dead, time will not belong to you, and they will die with them.

Therefore, there is a kind of longevity in the world, that is, when everyone feels hopeless, spend it in the way they like. Don't disappear in front of the public, just follow your true feelings and move forward happily.

Chu Shijian planted oranges at the age of 75, and a few years later oranges were all over the hillside. And yellow? 50 years old, now about 75 years old, broke with the past life, let go of the past, refused the invitation of official friends, and started another life mode.

He calls himself a "big idiot" and wants to concentrate on painting.

This seems much more unrealistic than growing oranges. How many people learn painting as teenagers, but they are still ugly when they are old? But Huang decided on one thing, so he decided to do it. Even Wang Meng, the nephew of the famous painter Zhao Mengfu at that time, told him that it was too late and he set off in the mountains and rivers.

He sits on a big stone every day and stares at the opposite mountain for hours without blinking.

Wang Meng was puzzled and followed. Every time I see him sitting motionless on a big rock, the wind blows, birds fly by and people walk by, which doesn't affect him at all, just like sitting.

Wang Meng couldn't help asking, what are you doing sitting on a big stone every day?

Huang said: I'm watching the mountains and water, I'm watching the flowers grow, the river gurgles, and the fishermen come home late.

Wang Meng should have nodded his head. He said, then keep watching!

It didn't take him long to learn painting from Zhao Mengfu. Zhao Mengfu has great attainments in painting, calligraphy and poetry. In particular, he advocated painting with books and painting with pens, which had a great influence on Huang's painting style.

2.

He never stopped painting under Huang, and his painting style is mature and innovative.

Seeing the mountains and waters in those years gave him rich materials and inspiration, and all the waters of Qian Shan were stored in his heart. After stopping, facing those papers, he painted endlessly, and his gods were in front of him. Mountains, rivers, bridges and flowing water, and other people, the troubles in the world had nothing to do with him.

This also promoted the formation of his realistic landscape painting style. Most of his paintings are real mountains and rivers I have ever seen. When he visited Huashan in Wudi, he drew a picture of Tianchi Lake. When he lived in Zhen Xuan Taoist Temple in Songjiang, he drew a picture of the garden room. All the beautiful scenery he saw was poured into the pen and spilled on the paper.

By the time he was 62, he was already famous for his painting. He was a real late bloomer. Twenty works, such as Peach Garden in Liushi, Fierce Kiln in Chunlin, Song of the River God, and Random Thoughts on the Journey to Snow Mountain, are elegant, graceful and delicate, which is the first peak of his landscape painting creation.

However, although Huang traveled all over the world, looking for mountains and water, touching the scenery, writing with vigor and vitality, and painting with interest and vividness, he still felt that his painting was not good, and he lacked the ancient meaning required by his teacher Zhao Mengfu.

So from the age of 7 1, he made 20 ancient paintings, which took four years to complete until the age of 75, imitating 20 works by Li Sixun, Li Zhaodao, Yang Sheng and Xiangrong. The hardships during this period are manifested in patient copying and painstaking innovation.

He said on his own topic: "... Although there are differences in the details of celebrities' heritage in Jin, Tang and Song Dynasties, they are ingenious and meticulous, and each is the ultimate." I can't bear to put it down, forget all about eating and sleeping, and copy it once in a while, making this knowledge very tight. ..... Non-scenery is not good enough, and non-legacy is not enough to become the norm. Both. There's no need to start. ……"

Express your feelings with the scenery, and don't forget to absorb the essence of our predecessors. Huang's ancient paintings imitate predecessors, add his own opinions and brushwork, and complement each other, eventually making his paintings surpass the ancients.

This is the second peak of his painting.

Half a year later, his friend came to visit from afar in danger. After seeing these paintings, he couldn't put them down, so Huang gave them to him.

From studying painting at the age of 50 to reaching the second peak of painting in his seventies, Huang devoted all his energy to the beautiful things he cared about and devoted himself to, and paid great patience and enough attention. In the process of watching and painting, his physiology and spirit have also been well coordinated, which is also the reason for his long life.

Su Wei's love for painting makes his heart extremely happy, and the health effect brought by this joy is comparable to countless health products eaten by the elderly today.

3.

The peak of Huang's painting is naturally Fuchun, one of the top ten famous paintings handed down by China.

At the end of the Ming Dynasty, a painting was given to the famous collector Wu Hongyu. He values this painting more than life and often enjoys it behind closed doors. Before he died, he said something to his family:

I have to take this painting with me. You should burn it.

When the family watched Wu Hongyu's last breath, they couldn't swallow it, so they had to burn the painting in front of him. When his nephew Wu Jingan arrived, he threw away another painting and stole it from the brazier.

Although the painting was saved, several renju holes were burned in the middle, which broke into two parts, one big and one small, and the first few feet were burned. Those who survived were also stained with fire marks.

This thrilling painting is Fuchun Shan Jutu.

From then on, Fuchun Shan Jutu split in two. The tall and straight mountain at the beginning of the picture has become an isolated mountain; The rivers, pine forests, fun, leisure, tranquility, woodcutters and anglers in the last seven-eighths of the winding mountains are called "useless teacher rolls". Today, the only remaining mountain maps are collected in Zhejiang Museum, but useless ones are collected in the National Palace Museum in Taipei.

The remaining original works are somewhat depressing, but they are also inexplicably excited. This painting will not be destroyed by crazy painters, but it survived.

When writing Fuchun, Huang was 80 years old. The creative reason lies in a trip from Songjiang to Fuyang, Zhejiang. Huang and his younger brother are useless peers. Look at Fuchun River, the river is like practice, and the fisherman sings late. Huang, who loves scenery, was surprised and decided to stay and paint this painting. Wu Yong had to travel alone.

In order to paint this picture well, Huang walks along the river for dozens of miles every day at dawn, rain or shine, wearing a hat and sandals.

He wandered around the banks of Fuchun River, observing the wonders of the changing situation, enjoying the scenic spots of Jiangshan Fishing Beach, carrying a pen and paper with him, and sketching at any time when encountering good scenery. This painting is a busy four years.

In the history of China, no one has ever spent four years talking with rivers. In the dialogue, it can be said that Fuchunjiang understood Huang, and Huang also understood Fuchunjiang.

People around don't understand the old man, and they all say: the year of dying. Why live in a hurry every day?

For Huang, when he meets a good situation, he stops writing, his heart goes at will, and his body goes with his life. Death is not an urgent matter. He is busy every day, busy doing what he should do. Every day, there are endless paintings, endless words, endless roads and endless scenery.

Even if I am near the end of my life, I am also very happy. I am very happy, which is enough. My inner feelings are the most important thing in this world.

The first half of the book is the mountain map of Fuchun Shan Jutu.

Scale: 3 1.8cm in vertical direction and 5 1.4cm in horizontal direction.

Four years later, Huang was 84 years old and Fuchun was completed. After Huang finished painting Fuchun, he breathed a sigh of relief and threw his pen into the river, lamenting that my life was over.

This four-year-old child is a long scroll, with undulating peaks, winding forests, continuous flat hills, a mirror-like river, an open and distant realm, a magnificent boundless, a simple and moist.

Not only Su Dongpo wants to see "the mountains are long, the clouds are chaotic and the mountains are green", but Qu Yuan also wants to see the surging water, which can be used to drown my tassels. The joyful sound of the river and the crying sound of the river all flow out in the painting. Huang's pride in his scientific research and the pain of being imprisoned at the age of 46 are also mixed in the painting.

He integrated his life's thoughts and choices into this painting, not only painting the scenery, but also painting life.

In this painting, Huang hides people in mountains and rivers. There are eight people in the painting, and ordinary people can only find five. In Huang's view, people are in the mountains and rivers and don't need to be seen, understood and commented by others. In fact, there is neither wind nor rain nor sunshine in a person's life.

Later painters spoke highly of this painting. Dong Qichang said:

"You see this volume, such as treasure, empty to reality. It claims to be a happy day, and my heart and spleen are unobstructed. " Described the influence of this painting on people's spirit.

Zou believes: "The knower talks about the painting for a long time, and the right army (Wang Xizhi) in the book is also sacred. As for Fuchun Shan Jutu, the change of writing style is encouraging, and the right army Lanting is also a holy god. " This painting rose to the height of Wang Xizhi's Preface to the Lanting Pavilion.

This painting pushes the new law created by Zhao Mengfu to a new peak and is unique. Completed the characteristics of painting in Yuan Dynasty and another transformation of China's landscape painting. The lyricism of Yuan painting can also be seen in this volume.

5.

In those years when he painted Fuchun Shan Jutu, because he moved, it was useless for his younger brother to look for him everywhere. In A.D. 1353, this useless younger brother finally came to Huang's residence.

When I saw the masterpiece Fuchun Shan Jutu, my useless brother burst into tears.

Huang, who was in tears of joy, silently wrote a useless name on the scroll, and raised his hand to dedicate Fuchun, which he had devoted his life to, to his useless brother.

After four years of painstaking efforts, Huang doesn't care. It is better to have a friend of a gentleman than to have a superficial reputation.

In the first year after Huang painted Fuchun, he visited Wang Meng. At that time, Wang Meng had just finished painting "Bamboo Fun Map" for Cao Liu, the county magistrate of Yanjing. Wang Meng asked Huang to be reasonable, and Huang thought he could add a firewood trail in the distant mountains. Wang Meng accepted his suggestion. After adding a pen, he felt that the picture was deep and steep, so don't add natural interest.

When Huang decided to learn painting, Wang Meng pointed out that it was too late for Huang to learn painting. Later, moved by his concentration, he told Zhao Mengfu, a famous painter at that time, to learn painting from others.

Now more than 30 years have passed, and Huang's achievements far exceed Wang Meng's, so that the change of landscape painting in the Southern Song Dynasty began in Zhao Mengfu, became Huang, and Huang became the teacher of one hundred generations.

After Zhao Mengfu, he completely changed the habit of painting Xiangyin in chenchen at the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, and created a generation of styles.

Not only won the admiration of present and future generations, but Huang also found the whole world in these paintings of "long mountains, chaotic mountains and green mountains", which also made his life complete until he died of old age and laughed. I can still imagine that when Huang passed away, his face must be very peaceful and smiling.

His life has gone without regrets!

6.

Huang's painting history of more than 30 years shows that the world is narrow, all thoughts are empty, and all paintings are nothing. Not only have I let go of my past fame, but my life has been enriched and my mind has been more open. He is the author of "Writing Landscape Tactics", from which he learned lessons and taught his disciples carefully.

Since Huang entered Quanzhen religion at the age of 6 1, Liu Feng wrote in "Continued Praise for Wu Xianxian": "I am a Taoist, traveling between wuyue ... teaching my disciples and talking about Confucianism, Mohism, Huang and Lao ..."

Confucianism and Taoism, who entered the WTO and were born, seem to be diametrically opposed and run counter to each other. In fact, they are an inseparable whole in China's traditional literati thought, which is both opposite and unified. Join the WTO when you are proud, and be born when you are frustrated. Your spirit will always have a place.

It is precisely because of the existence of such a clever theory of spiritual adjustment that Huang's life was pinned on seemingly hopeless years at the age of 50, which also enabled him to live a long life and live another earth-shattering style.

And painting is the outlet of his spiritual adjustment. This "smoke-cloud-supported" lifestyle also extended his limited life to the maximum extent.

When painting, because I look at myself in my heart, my consciousness is concentrated on one point, and all my thoughts are empty, so I am calm and clear-headed. Because the cerebral cortex is very stable, energy consumption is reduced, which is beneficial to health. It is a good process of nourishing and keeping in good health.

Health is also about walking. During his painting career, Huang trudged between mountains and rivers with pictures and dry food on his back, bamboo poles and fluorescent sticks on his back every day. The silence of the mountains and the traceless flowing water became the footnotes of his life until his old age, when he was full of white hair.

Another widely circulated longevity wisdom is:

If you are not angry, you will not get sick. A good mood can kill cancer.

90% of diseases are related to bad mood, which will reduce the power to kill cancer cells naturally by more than 20%. Therefore, mentality is very important for health.

Lin Quan, who retired from the officialdom with Huang Cong, decided to paint without laziness and doubt, and decided to act. It was really a good attitude, free and easy, and it was really broad-minded, and life was magnanimous from then on.

Take the paintings he gave to Su Wei and Wu Yong's younger brother as an example. He is like a flower grower. He planted it, fertilized it and waited for it to blossom for several years. In a flash, Bloom took it off and raised his hand to give it to others.

Enjoy the process of pursuit, but never care about the gain or loss of the result.

However, many people in modern times are not only anxious and hesitant between gains and losses, but also can't wait to continue to pay and wait once what they are pursuing is not available in a short time. Life is also repeated in depression and frustration, and diseases naturally prefer such people.

Many times when we get sick, we blame the air and diet, but do we blame our own thoughts?

The ancients said: "Innocent and eccentric thinking is a medicine, relaxed and harmonious is a medicine, calm is a medicine, and calm is a medicine." Huang Changshou achieved the goal of integrating the four medicines.

Some people talk nonsense: most of the painters and poets who can be remembered in ancient times lived a long life, otherwise, they wouldn't have time to write and draw so many masterpieces handed down from generation to generation. But eggs can be pulled in two ways. Think about it. If they don't have a rich yearning in their hearts, they can put down the shackles of the past and start over constantly. How can they live to be so old?

At the age of 86, Huang came to the end of his life. Looking back, 50-year-old Huang's life feast has just begun!
