Wuzhishan, Baoting, Qiongzhong and Baisha, located in the middle of Hainan Island, are the ecological core areas of Hainan Island. Over the years, real estate tax has accounted for more than 50% of local general public income. Qiongzhong, Baoting, Wuzhishan and Baisha have small economic aggregates and weak economic foundations. However, the GDP of these cities and counties has continued to grow in the past two years, and the per capita disposable income has also maintained a high growth rate, and the label of "poor counties" has been removed one after another.
How to "turn off the engine without slowing down"? Under the background of building a free trade zone (port) in Hainan, the expansion of projects and investments, as well as advantageous industries such as efficient agriculture and tourism in tropical mountainous areas, have provided new support for economic development.

In Hainan's "traditional" advantageous industry tourism, Baoting actively integrates into the "Great Sanya Tourism Economic Circle", and Sandao Town, which is adjacent to Sanya, relies on ethnic customs and tropical rainforest elements to build two national five-level scenic spots, Penang Valley and Yanoda. Wuzhishan City, where the highest peak in Hainan is located, has stirred up the global tourism industry with cultural tourism activities.
