Raw stone flower, also known as "living stone", belongs to Caryophyllaceae succulents and is native to Africa. It is small and lovely in appearance, peculiar in shape, colorful and highly appreciated, so it is deeply loved by people. So, do you know how to cultivate the original stone flowers to make them more energetic? Come and have a look with Uncle Gardener!

1, soil

The requirements of raw stone flowers on soil are not strict, and they are suitable for planting in loose and breathable neutral soil. Usually, 4 parts of humus soil, 3 parts of calcareous material and 3 parts of river sand are mixed evenly, and the soil is often loosened to maintain the air permeability of the roots.

Step 2 change the pot

We usually choose to change the pot of raw stone flowers in autumn. When changing pots, we need to take the plants out of the soil, pay attention to handle them gently, and try not to hurt the capillary roots. Then it is necessary to cut off the rotten and dry old roots and plant new culture soil.

Step 3 apply fertilizer

When applying fertilizer, we usually choose the season when raw stone flowers peel, and we apply compound fertilizer to them to promote the healthy growth of seedlings.

water

Raw stone flowers have strong drought resistance, so the principle of "no watering, no watering" should be followed when watering, but care should be taken not to water them when the temperature is too high in summer, so as to avoid damage to plant roots caused by excessive temperature difference between day and night. In spring, the original stone flower is in the molting stage, during which we need to stop fertilizing it and properly control watering. In the usual maintenance process, we should also pay attention to avoid the pot soil being in a humid environment for a long time, because moss is easy to grow in the pot.

5. Temperature

The suitable temperature for the growth of stone flowers is 15 to 32 degrees. If the temperature is too high in summer, the raw stone flower will enter the dormant period, and it is not cold-resistant in winter, so it is necessary to ensure that the temperature is above 10 degrees when breeding in winter.

Tips When changing the pot of raw stone flowers, we need to shake off the soil at the original root, and be careful not to hurt the capillary root when shaking it off. It is not recommended that you peel off the original stone flower when it enters the molting stage, which may cause damage to the original stone flower and let it fall off freely. The soil for cultivating original stone flowers must be breathable, and the maintenance environment should be kept ventilated. In hot summer, don't move the raw stone flowers at will, so as not to cause environmental changes!
