Four steps of gardenia: hydroponic cutting 1, pruning.
Prune gardenias properly every autumn. In the process of gardenia pruning, we can choose strong branches, and we need to remove all the leaves on the branches and keep the top leaves, which can increase the success rate of water-based rooting and make it grow better.
2. Container soil
In the process of cutting gardenia in hydroponics, it is necessary to prepare a glass bottle with a diameter of 8cm and a depth of 10cm as a hydroponic container. Whenever the branches of gardenia take root, it is necessary to prepare suitable soil as cutting substrate, which can usually be mixed with garden soil, organic fertilizer and coarse sand.
3. Water takes root
When it comes to how gardenia can be cut in water, it is necessary to apply rooting powder to the wounds of branches, or add a proper amount of rooting powder to a glass bottle filled with water, and then insert branches into water. Put it in a cool place and change the water every other week, and the branches will take root in about half a month.
4. Upstream basin maintenance
Usually, after the gardenia branches take root in water, they are taken out of the water, then put into a pot, and a proper amount of water is poured into the pot soil for careful maintenance in the sun, so that their branches can grow better in the pot soil.
