TCM nursing measures for constipation 1, etiology and pathogenesis

The occurrence of constipation, in addition to the dysfunction of the large intestine itself, all the dysfunction of the spleen, stomach, kidney and lung can cause intestinal gas imbalance and conduction disorder, thus causing constipation.

(1) the connotation of dryness and heat; Vegetarians are full of yang, or overeat spicy and thick taste, which leads to heat accumulation in gastrointestinal tract and dryness injury to body fluid; Or because of lingering residual heat in the late stage of fever, insufficient body fluid, dry and moist intestines and abnormal conduction, the stool is dry and difficult to be discharged, which becomes a heat secret.

(2) Qi stagnation: excessive anxiety, emotional discomfort, or sedentary, causing qi stagnation, so the conduction is abnormal and the dregs stop, which cannot cause constipation.

(3) Deficiency of both qi and blood: Deficiency of both qi and blood due to internal injuries such as overwork or serious illness, chronic illness, postpartum and old age. Qi deficiency leads to weak stool conduction; Blood deficiency leads to intestinal dysfunction. It can also cause intestinal dryness, difficulty in defecation, constipation, etc. due to sweating, excessive diuresis, or loss of kidney qi and true yin.

(4) Stagnation of Yin-cold: Yang deficiency in the body, or senility, decline of healthy qi, weakness of warmth, endogenous Yin-cold, obstruction of Yang-qi, poor body fluid, cold congealing loose stool, and secret cold.

2. Treatment based on syndrome differentiation

Constipation in clinic, we must first distinguish between excess and deficiency. Dry heat, qi stagnation, deficiency of qi and blood, deficiency of yin and deficiency of cold. In the treatment, the method of regulating qi and moistening intestine should be adopted in view of its conduction disorder, insufficient body fluid or no body fluid. In the treatment of syndrome differentiation, it is not appropriate to use purgative therapy exclusively, otherwise the body fluid will heal itself and purgative therapy will be complicated. Balanced nutrition, away from constipation. Seven kinds of food weapons are used to build the nutritional foundation of our stomach. Healthy, high-quality and balanced nutrients provide a biochemical environment with normal digestion, orderly metabolism, comprehensive absorption and smooth residue for our intestines.

The first food weapon: clean water: get up every day 1-2 cups of high-quality mineral water, which is helpful for intestinal peristalsis; At the same time, food residues must contain enough water to be discharged from the colon.

The second food weapon: brown rice and soybeans: We pay attention to all refined foods such as polished rice and white flour, which makes our intestines in a dead and passive state. Taking eating raw grains such as brown rice, corn and coarse wheat as our health common sense and developing a eating habit are of great benefit to our health. Also recommended are beans, such as soybeans, red beans, mung beans and peas; They are rich in cellulose, high-quality plant protein and vitamins needed by human body; Among them, soybean is also rich in oligosaccharides, which is intestinal soil protection? Bifidobacterium needs the most food. There are more bifidobacteria in the intestine than harmful bacteria, and our food residues will be decomposed in an orderly manner. Under the package of cellulose, the residue will be excreted in time and quantity, so that our intestines will no longer be invaded by our own toxins. The third food weapon: high-fiber food: any food fiber is the food of beneficial bacteria; At present, among all edible plants, the unit edible fiber content of plantain shell (alias: lotus shell) is as high as 86%; After eating with the corresponding food, it will combine with water in the intestine, which will make the stool swell, and the old stool attached to the wall of the large intestine will be dragged clean with adhesive tape and discharged.

The fourth food weapon: yogurt: it can promote the reproduction of beneficial bacteria and reduce the damage of residual toxins.

The fifth food weapon: seaweed: the sticky substance contained in seaweed helps the stool to be smooth; Viscous substances are mainly soluble dietary fiber in algae formed in water; Seaweed such as kelp, Undaria pinnatifida and Sargassum fusiforme are the most useful.

The sixth food weapon: apple: can cure constipation and diarrhea; Pectin in apples is a kind of soluble fiber with strong water holding capacity, which is beneficial to the clean nutrition of intestines. Eating apples without peeling is the best way to eat them. There are bananas, kiwis and other fruits.

The seventh food weapon: all foods rich in oligosaccharides: oligosaccharide foods are foods rich in oligosaccharides, which are the most needed foods for our intestinal beneficial bacteria Bifidobacterium. Such as: soybeans, honey, onions, asparagus and so on.
