-Reading Liu Junjing's calligraphy works (Shi Xiangyang)

Published on March 20th, 20 12 in Ink and Wash Museum.

On New Year's Eve, Brother Niu Shuaibing, editor-in-chief of Chinese Ink Painting Lanting, gave me a roll of classic works by Liu Junjing, a famous contemporary calligrapher. I watched it all night and couldn't put it down.

Today, Mr. Zhang Hai once said: Learning books "combines the ancients first, then divides them". Reading Liu Junjing's works can help us understand his language. People like Liu Junjing's calligraphy because it is unique and unique.

Liu Junjun said in Beijing: "Broadly speaking, the Han and Tang Dynasties were patriarchal.". He has four styles, especially good at writing calligraphy, calligraphy and cursive script. I especially like his "Liu Bi Fa" stele calligraphy. For example, the book "Great Compassion and Great Darani" is a banner with more than 400 words, which is filled with emotion in one go. His brushwork is exquisite and Gu Zhuo, smooth and smooth. Boutique, its pen power, lifting power, frustration power, clearing blood. This brushwork is also a monument and a paste, and the monument and the paste are integrated and natural. I read from it: Wang Xizhi, read Min Nangong and Kang Nanhai ... It can be seen that Jun Jing Jun has a big appetite and strong absorption ability.

I always think that there is no difference between calligraphy and inscriptions, and there is no difference between inscriptions and inscriptions. All divisions are man-made. It is difficult to be elegant when chasing monuments, to be dignified when writing about future generations, to be elegant and dignified, and even more so. However, Jing crossed this "difficulty" with a wise and sober "pen of the brain".

Liu Jun once said: "It is good to respect the ancient style and follow the nature. No matter how smart people are, they can't compare with the changes between heaven and earth." From his books, we can see that Liu Jun is a fickle person. Throughout the book "Mantra of Great Compassion", there are dozens of words "Nupoke", dozens of words "Moro" and dozens of words "Lu", and their lines, forms and sizes are the same. Even if there are more than one hundred broken sentences in the text, they have disappeared without a trace because of the clever disposal of Jun Jing Jun.

Let's talk about the word "Luo" and "Di" in detail: from this work, every line has the word "Luo". The first word "Luo" is written in the style of "two kings", which is relaxed and restrained, and the center of gravity moves down; The second word "Luo" is written in block letters, paying special attention to the left and right, that is, the left is small and the right is big; The third one has a slight chapter flavor; The fourth knot is tight and just broken; The fifth word "Luo" is broad and big, and it is purely based on the brushwork of the North Monument. These five words "Luo" complement the whole article. Moreover, the word "emperor" in several cursive scripts is also handled in a visible way.

Unfortunately, the word "true" in the third line and the word "emperor" in the sixth, tenth, fifteenth and penultimate lines are all pure cursive. Compared with the whole running script, the difference between static and dynamic is too big, which is slightly "eye-catching". However, the author noticed that the word "emperor" echoed around, which had nothing to do with the whole and was still a masterpiece. "If you violate it, don't commit it. Be different." The combination of all forms and nature is the soul of Liu Junjun's hair.

Zhuangzi said, "The wind is not thick, but its negative wing is weak." Only by accumulating to a certain extent can it flourish. Reading Liu Jun's other paintings and sketches, we can read his confidence and indifference. To a certain extent, you can play anything, and Liu Junjun has already "played".

■ Peng Yichao

I remember that in the summer and autumn of 2004, the first China Couplet Calligraphy Exhibition was successfully held in China People's Revolutionary Military Museum. Liu Junjing's name is deeply imprinted in my mind, and he created a picture of "five flavors of fresh body building; Wei Bei's eight-character couplet composed of "seven emotions, steady convergence and fluent classics" stood out from more than 2,000 paintings in China and won the second place in ten silver prizes at one fell swoop, which undoubtedly showed his good strength and excellent kung fu in calligraphy creation. In recent years, he participated in a series of influential calligraphy exhibitions, such as the nomination of Lanting Award, the 8th and 9th National Book Fair, the Beijing International Calligraphy Biennale, and the Silver Award in the Beijing TV Calligraphy Competition. After that, his calligraphy creation gradually matured, forming a calligraphy style with the pursuit of epigraphy as the framework, the calligraphy of the two kings as the implication, and the combination of epigraphy and calligraphy. Around 2007, he formally put forward the concept of "healthy calligraphy", which made my eyes shine. Looking back at his couplet which won the silver medal at the first calligraphy exhibition of China Couplets five years ago, I suddenly found that it was actually an authentic "health-preserving calligraphy".

In the evening of Meng Chun in the ugly year, he came to my humble abode and showed me a CD engraved with nearly 100 of his "health-preserving calligraphy" works for the author's appreciation. I hope I can give some reference opinions. Later, I carefully read Jun Jing Jun's new book "Health Calligraphy", which is full of fresh tension and dynamic feeling, and inspired me to write some words for him to objectively record the change track of his book style. At that time, he put forward his pursuit of three words in calligraphy creation: "respect, purity and quietness"; I said that Wang Guowei, a master of Chinese studies in the late Qing Dynasty, had three realms of scholarship. He said in "Words on Earth": "The great cause of ancient and modern times, the questioner of the university must go through the following three realms:' Last night, the west wind withered the green trees. A person in a tall building, watching the end of the world. So is this first place. My belt is getting wider and wider, and I don't regret it because of Iraq.' So is this second environment. Looking for her in the crowd, I suddenly looked back, and the man was there, and the lights were dim. So is this third place. "For Liu Junjing, I think of the three realms of" respect, purity and quietness "in his calligraphy, which may coincide with the three realms of" health-preserving calligraphy "in Liu Junjing. I immediately asked Jun Jing Jun if this could sum up his exploration of "healthy calligraphy" for many years, and he readily agreed.

"Respect" is the first realm of your calligraphy practice. It shows his attitude towards outlook on life, values and world outlook, which is also a positive attitude advocated by Confucianism. He put "respect" first in life. Let's talk about the meaning of "respect" from the source. Xu Shen's Shuo Wen Jie Zi in the Eastern Han Dynasty said, "Respect and modesty. From the hook. Ju qingqie. " It is a knowing word in the press (pū), which means to knock with a stick or whip in your hand; From (jí) means urgent and urgent. Its original meaning is respect and restraint. There is also a meaning of "respecting appearance and heart" He has played different roles in today's society, whether he is an enterprise manager or a calligrapher in the book world. He treats people of different classes and levels with respect, while Jing Jun always keeps his promise and keeps his word. Learn from others' strengths with an open mind, and show the demeanor of a modest gentleman. This shows his "respect" and devotion to calligraphy from his rigorous, clean and standardized health calligraphy works. His calligraphy works have various styles, whether it is Weibei calligraphy style he absorbed from Zhao, Jin Dongxin's heavy official script style, or the elegant and smooth "Two Kings" calligraphy style, they all belong to the official script series, showing its neat, elegant and fair side.

"Quiet" is the second realm of your calligraphy practice. He advocates "purity", but it embodies his inner purity and cleanliness. This is also one of the basic principles of his self-cultivation and being an artist. "Shuowen" says: "Net, Lubei City Gate Pool is also." Pictophonetic characters can be disguised as "rhyme". From the water, from the noise. The original meaning refers to the moat of Lubei Gate in the Spring and Autumn Period. Appreciating his calligraphy works makes people taste a kind of "clean" information. No matter what kind of calligraphy he creates, his brushwork is still meticulous, clean and neat, without a trace of carelessness. In the whole font, he pays attention to the change of modeling, highlighting the rhythm and rhythm of the pen, the vigorous brushwork and the coherent and seamless style. It is not easy for a calligrapher to make his works "clean". The first impression of Guan Jun Jing Jun's books is that they are fresh, clean and pleasing to the eye, presenting readers with a "clean" realm.

"Quiet" is the third realm of your calligraphy practice. This is not unrelated to his life experience and personality style, but also related to his previous medical work. Now his research is still called "quiet medical research". "Shuo Wen Jie Zi" said: "Quiet and cautious. From green to sound, it is ill. " Static is a pictophonetic character, green is a pictophonetic character, and contention is a phonetic character. Xu Kai's Note: "Dan Qing Shen Ming also"; Wang Yun's words are: "Choose the color carefully, and be quiet if you are quiet." The original meaning of the word "God" in aesthetics is color thinking or visual thinking. Therefore, the original meaning of "quiet" is not quiet, but that the color arrangement is very reasonable and orderly. The original intention of quietness is not to argue, and you can be satisfied without arguing. Do not dispute, is not greedy for fame and fortune, let nature take its course. The extended meaning of "tranquility" refers to a distant realm, where tranquility can reach far away and get wisdom and inspiration; A quiet word contains the wisdom of the ancients, which makes us feel the profoundness of traditional culture. There is a philosopher's saying, "What you want is bitter, and what you don't want is just." If you can't argue, your heart will be quiet. Silence is a state of peace and a sense of self-satisfaction. Therefore, the ancients appreciated: quiet residence is safe. This is probably the view advocated by health care.

Jun Jing Jun now lives in a corner at the foot of Xishan Mountain in Beijing. The author once had the honor to visit. It's far from the city, and his residence is backed by the Yanshan Mountains. It extends in all directions and the fields are fertile. There is no noise of city cars and horses here, but birds are singing from time to time, which is particularly quiet. It can be called a place for self-cultivation and reading and entertainment. No wonder he likes it. In today's fast-paced and high-pressure society, it is inevitable that anyone will feel nervous and impatient. Therefore, only when people are quiet in the middle of the night can he live in a quiet medical clinic, enjoy some leisure and freedom, or read books at night at will, or indulge in expressing his happiness ... sincerely. Whenever I read Jun Jing Jun's healthy calligraphy, three words always pop up in my mind-"respect, purity and tranquility"! The third realm is also commendable.

On June 6, 2009 16, I was very excited to read Liu Junjing's works in Panguzhai, Beijing, just like a calligraphy feast, which made people feast their eyes.

Teacher Liu Junjing's calligraphy returns to the classics and inherits the ancients. With profound traditional skills and unique calligraphy style, he is good at calligraphy, seal script, official script and cursive script, and is a truly powerful young and middle-aged calligrapher.

His works have won many national heavyweight awards. He pays attention to practice and appreciates the epitaphs of Zhang Qianbei, Zhang Xuan, Zheng Wengong, Zhang Menglong, Diligence, Ode to Shimen, Mi Fei's running script, Two Kings' running script and cursive script. Implicit and profound, hard work pays off.

His calligraphy pursuit is based on the study of inscriptions, based on the study of two kings, combined with inscriptions, precise, clean and standardized. His works are natural and unrestrained, with prominent paragraphs and levels of structure, rigorous structure, changeable brushwork, free use, elegance and tolerance in strength.

His works are innovative, thoughtful and profound. His works are full of fresh tension and agility, and his calligraphy creation pursues "respect, purity and quietness"; His works have absorbed Zhao's Weibei style, Jin Dongxin's heavy official script style and the elegant and fluent "two kings" style, showing his neatness, elegance and integrity. The trajectory of the pen is meticulous and clean, without any carelessness. In the whole font, the change of form is emphasized, and the rhythm of using the pen is highlighted. The pen is vigorous and the composition is coherent and seamless. The impression is fresh, clean, pleasing to the eye and elegant!

Although Mr. Jing Jun's calligraphy has reached a higher level, he still keeps forging ahead, continues to climb hard, and always stands at the forefront of contemporary book circles, stands at the forefront of the art field, persistently pursues his own artistic goals and artistic realm, and sets an example for a real artist!

We are convinced that a higher level will leave a more brilliant page in the history of China calligraphy and become a classic of China calligraphy!
