A blazing building.
Hongmantang is a historical and cultural symbol and landmark building of South China Agricultural University. After the Tangshan earthquake, Guangdong considered this kind of building very dangerous and demolished all the barge shell buildings of the other three schools. Huanong's "Red Mantang" was not only demolished, but also attracted famous architects from all over the country to watch the experiment-the beam was hoisted with heavy sandbags, and the "Red Mantang" still stood. According to the research of architectural experts, this unique building is called "Guangdong Shell".

This unique and heroic building, beside the rippling Hongze Lake and the lush white orchid forest, has become the most beautiful scenery in the school. Whether it is a school work conference, a student opening ceremony, a graduation ceremony, a teacher-student evening party or a weekend dance, it is held here, which has become a "business card" for Huanong.

1999, "Hongmantang" was listed as a dangerous building by the relevant departments and could not be maintained, so it had to be demolished.

June 5438 +2009 10, the "Red House" was successfully rebuilt on the occasion of the centenary celebration of Huanong. The new "Red Mantang" has been rebuilt on the original site, retaining its original appearance, adopting a new technical structure, using reinforced concrete as raw materials, and its appearance is consistent with that of the Red Mantang in the 20th century.
