Species distribution: The forest land area of the whole city is 7 1.6 thousand hectares, accounting for 4 1% of the total land area, the forest coverage rate is 43%, and the standing stock is 28 million cubic meters. China is rich in biological resources, and Dabie Mountain is a relatively complete species resource bank in Central China. There are 82 species of pteridophytes and 383 species of seed plants 1465 species of higher vascular plants in the city. There are 35 species of rare and endangered protected plants, and 2 species of national first-class key protected wild plants, Ginkgo biloba and Taxus mairei. National second-class key protected wild plants 17 species: Golden Hairy, Dabieshan Five-needle Pine, Dictyophora indusiata, Torreya grandis, Magnolia officinalis, Zelkova schneideriana, Fragrant Fruit Tree, Phoebe bournei, Wild Soybean, Geng Wei, etc. Among them, Dabieshan pine, an endangered species endemic to Dabieshan area, is now less than 100, which is on the verge of extinction.

There are 208 species of terrestrial vertebrates in China, including 4 species of mammals, 22 species of birds, 32 species of reptiles and 3 species of amphibians. There are more than 20 species of wild animals listed in the national first-and second-class key protection. Musk deer, leopard, white stork and great bustard are protected at the national level. Pangolin, white-crowned pheasant, jackal, civet, white goose, kite, vulture, spiny salamander, otter and tiger frog are also widely distributed in this city.

This city is also a famous "hometown of chestnuts", "hometown of medicinal materials" and "hometown of sweet persimmons" in China. Luotian has chestnuts, Poria cocos, four treasures of Qichun (turtles, Agkistrodon, bamboo and mugwort leaves), Yingshan has platycodon grandiflorum and Macheng has "Futian Baiju". "Look at the Rhododendron in Macheng in April", and the ancient Rhododendron community in Guishan, Macheng is recorded in Guinness World Records for its largest area.

There are 8 national AAAA-level scenic spots in the city, such as Jute Uprising and Memorial Park of Hubei, Henan and Anhui Soviet Area, Xishui Triangle Mountain, Macheng Guifeng Mountain, Macheng Martyrs Memorial Park, Li Xiannian's Former Residence Memorial Park, Luotian Tiantangzhai, Yingshan Wujiashan and Yingshan Taohuachong. There are 0/2 national AAA scenic spots, namely Dongpo Chibi, Hongan Tiantai Mountain, Macheng Xinghua Village, Macheng Wunao Mountain, Macheng Museum, Luotian Baodao Peak, Qichun Sanjiang, Yili, Li Siguang Memorial Hall, Erren Valley, Qiliping and Yingshan Martyrs Cemetery. There are 8 national AA-level scenic spots, namely Wenyiduo Memorial Hall, Li Shizhen Memorial Hall, Xishui Museum, Xiangu Mountain in Wuxue, Daqi Mountain in Tuanfeng, Fangshan in Xishui, Macheng Arcade and Wuzu Temple.

Li Shizhen's Tomb in Qichun, the former site group of Qiliping Revolution in Hong 'an, Piluta in Sizu Temple and Chibi in Dongpo have been listed as national key cultural relics protection units. Hong 'an is listed as a national patriotic education base. There are many tourist attractions. There are 23 places listed in the Dictionary of Places of Interest in China edited by National Cultural Heritage Administration: Dongpo Chibi, Qingyun Pagoda (above Huangzhou), Qiliping, Hongan Martyrs Cemetery, Dasheng Temple Pagoda, Tiantai Mountain (above Hongan), Guifeng Mountain, Bozi Pagoda (above Macheng), Paradise Mountain (village) (Luotian) and Doufang. Xishui, Qichun junction), Li Shizhen Tomb (Qichun), Wuzu Temple, Shifang Pagoda, Feihong Bridge Pagoda, Sakyamuni Pagoda, Pilu Pagoda, Lubanting, Lingrun Bridge, Gaota Pagoda (above Huangmei), Shuangdong Pagoda and Gongzheng Pagoda (above Wuxue City). By the end of 2009, five national forest parks had been approved for construction, namely, Luotian Dabie Mountain National Forest Park, Hongan Tiantai Mountain National Forest Park, Macheng Wuyishan National Forest Park, Xishui Triangle Mountain National Forest Park and Yingshan Wujiashan National Forest Park. There are also six provincial forest parks. In addition, there are many scenic spots and cultural sites in China.
