Sun Simiao loves medicine, indifferent to fame and fortune, refused to be an official in the DPRK, and took medicine while practicing medicine. He has been to Taibai Mountain and Zhong Nanshan in Shaanxi, Taihang Mountain in Shanxi, Songshan Mountain in Henan and Emei Mountain in Sichuan. Extensive collection of knowledge about prescriptions, prescriptions and medication has left valuable wealth for later pharmaceutical research, so people respectfully call him the king of medicine.
It is said that Sun Simiao is good at Yin and Yang, pushing steps and skillfully solving numbers. I personally collected drugs to treat diseases. He has tirelessly collected folk prescriptions and secret recipes for many years, summed up clinical experience and predecessors' medical theories, and made important contributions to the development of ancient Chinese medicine and pharmacology, so he is worthy of the title of "King of Medicine". Based on the theory of zang-fu organs in Huangdi Neijing, the classification, syndrome differentiation and treatment of miscellaneous diseases centered on cold and heat deficiency of zang-fu organs were put forward for the first time in Qian Jin Fang Yao. After studying Treatise on Febrile Diseases, Zhang Zhongjing classified typhoid fever as 12, and put forward the taboo of 15, which was highly valued by typhoid fever scientists in later generations.
Sun Simiao collected many medical theories, prescriptions, medication, acupuncture and other experiences and lessons from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty, as well as many health preserving methods such as hooking, dietotherapy, guidance and massage, and wrote 30 volumes of precious prescriptions, divided into 232 branches, which was close to the classification method of modern clinical medicine. There are more than 5,000 prescriptions in the book, which are various and rich in content, including medical theories such as syndrome differentiation and treatment, as well as clinical disciplines such as internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and pediatrics. It not only involves detoxification, first aid, health preservation and dietotherapy, but also includes acupuncture, massage, guidance and breathing. It is the earliest medical encyclopedia in China. From basic theory to clinical discipline, there are complete prescriptions and medicines. One is recorded in ancient books, and the other is folk unilateral.
Widely absorb the strengths of all aspects, suit both refined and popular tastes, and have appropriate priorities today. Many contents are still instructive and have high academic value. They are masterpieces with special representation in the development of traditional Chinese medicine, which have obvious influence and contribution to the development of medicine in later generations, especially prescription science. It has played a positive role in the development of Japanese and Korean medicine, and is indeed a valuable asset of traditional medicine in China.
Sun Simiao's Wings of a Thousand Daughters has 30 volumes and nearly 3,000 pieces, which belong to his later years and are a comprehensive supplement to Wings of a Thousand Daughters. The book is divided into 189 branches and records more than 800 kinds of drugs. The contents of the book involve materia medica, women, typhoid fever, children, nourishing, nourishing, stroke, miscellaneous diseases, sores, color pulse and acupuncture. Especially typhoid fever, apoplexy, miscellaneous diseases, furuncle and carbuncle. It is worth mentioning that this book contains Treatise on Febrile Diseases, which has been lost among the people in the Jin and Tang Dynasties, and only constitutes nine or twelve volumes. It has become the only research work on Treatise on Febrile Diseases in the Tang Dynasty and has played a positive role in promoting the preservation and dissemination of Treatise on Febrile Diseases.
Sun Simiao attached great importance to the cultivation of medical ethics all his life. In his book "A Thousand Daughters Should Be Prescribed", he listed two articles: the knowledge of great doctors and the sincerity of great doctors. This is the earliest and relatively complete medical ethics literature monograph in China, and it is a medical ethics norm that integrates noble medical ethics and superb medical skills. He pointed out: a great doctor should treat a disease with peace of mind, show great compassion first, and swear to save the suffering with spirit. In case someone comes for help, don't ask him whether he is poor or rich, always young, whether he hates friendly friends, whether he is Chinese or foreign, whether he is stupid or vulgar. All these are like the thoughts of his closest relatives. Never look back and forth, worry about good or bad, and save your life. Seeing his distress, if you have it, it is deep sorrow. Don't avoid danger and evil. You are hot and cold all day, hungry, exhausted, bent on saving, and have no intention of making any efforts. This can be a lifelong doctor, but he is a spiritual thief. The doctor's body has come to the patient's home again, and the front is everywhere. Don't look around; Silk and bamboo make up the ears, and there is nothing like entertainment; Precious shame and repeated recommendations are tasteless; Look at Lu and Chen and see if there is anything. Husband is a doctor's method. Don't make fun, don't say jokes, don't say right and wrong, don't talk about people, don't show off your reputation, don't ruin the doctor, and don't be proud of your virtue. Accidentally treated a disease, he will be cocky, with a sick face, but a confident look. His name is a Chinese odyssey, and this doctor is developing extremely well.
These words have shown Sun Simiao's noble medical ethics. His strong and simple humanitarian spirit of saving lives is worth learning and advocating at that time and now.
Clinically, Sun Simiao pays special attention to the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological and pediatric diseases. In his own medical works, he described in detail the special diseases of women and the care of young children.
According to legend, one day Sun Simiao went out to practice medicine and saw a funeral procession coming. He stopped by the side of the road to watch, and suddenly stopped him and shouted, wait a minute! Wait a minute! The undertaker thought he was crazy and wanted to get rid of him. He said: the people inside are not dead yet! What's going on here? They said: Don't talk nonsense, people are dead.
The woman's husband cried and said, my wife has been married for ten years and has never had children. I was pregnant for more than a year. I felt fetal movement yesterday and died during childbirth.
Sun Simiao said: When people die, blood will coagulate. Look at the blood dripping under the coffin. How can a person die? When everyone saw it, they made sure there was a thin bloodshot flowing out, so they opened the coffin. I saw a woman with a yellow face like paper, a high abdomen and blood oozing from her crotch.
Sun Simiao told everyone not to worry. After trying the patient's breathing and pulse, he took out three silver needles, one for stabbing people, one for stabbing the middle and one for stabbing a pole. After three stitches, the pregnant woman will soon wake up.
So they took Sun Simiao as a fairy and knelt down and kowtowed together. Sun Simiao woke them up and gave them good medicine to treat the disease. As a result, the patient went back and gave birth to a big fat doll.
Although the story is exaggerated, it fully embodies Sun Simiao's brilliant medical skill and unique vision.
Sun Simiao combined the Taoist theory of internal cultivation with medicine and hygiene, and took health preservation as the medical content. It is believed that when people get old, their physical characteristics, physiology and pathology have changed. If you want to live a long life, you must pay attention to your diet and daily life. In the first preface of "A Thousand Daughters Want a Prescription", he particularly emphasized that the elderly should not spit far, walk fast, listen carefully, see carefully, sit close, stand up and lie down. Cold and clothing first, heat and solution first. Eat if you don't want to be extremely hungry, and don't eat too much; Don't want to drink too much, and don't want to drink too much, combined with the techniques of guiding, promoting qi and tonifying the room.
Have a comprehensive observation and in-depth analysis of the aging process and performance, psychological characteristics and changes, as well as geriatric diseases, health care and medical care. It is believed that the elderly should engage in activities suitable for the characteristics of the elderly, such as regulating qi, massage, guiding, promoting qi, walking, etc., thus enriching the contents and methods of Taoist internal cultivation and exploring the Taoist method of taking medicine to become immortal. It is considered that taking the elixir to become immortal is a sacred way, and the clouds are light and the wind is light, so I don't know how to climb the mountain. But he used alchemy as a pharmaceutical means, with the aim of emergency.
Qian Jin Fang Yao and Qian Jin Fang Yi have great influence, and are known as ancient medical encyclopedias in China, which have played a historical role in inheriting Han, Wei, Song and Yuan Dynasties. After the publication of the two books, they attracted worldwide attention, and even crossed the ocean and spread widely. During the years of Tianbao, Wan Zhi, Tian Ming, Yongjia and Kuanzheng, thousands of precious prescriptions were published in Japan, and its influence can be seen. After Sun Simiao's death, people renamed Wutai Mountain, where he lived in seclusion, as Wang Yao, and built a temple statue for him on the mountain. Every year on the third day of the second lunar month, local people hold a temple fair to commemorate Sun Simiao's great contribution to Chinese medicine. The temple fair lasted for half a month, and tourists from all directions came to visit and mourn.
