What fabric is nylon? Advantages and disadvantages?

Nylon is a kind of synthetic fiber that appears in the world, and its other popular term is "nylon".

1, nylon is the trade name of polyamide fiber, also known as nylon. The English name polyamide (PA) is composed of aliphatic polyamides linked by amide bonds [NHCO].

Commonly used nylon fibers can be divided into two types, one is polycaprodiamine adipate obtained by condensation polymerization of diamine and dibasic acid, and the other is polycaprolactam condensation polymerization or ring-opening polymerization.

2. The outstanding advantage of nylon is that its wear resistance is higher than all other fibers, which is 10 times higher than cotton and 20 times higher than wool. In practical application, as long as a small amount of polyamide fiber is added to the blended fabric, its wear resistance can be greatly improved.

3. But nylon is not perfect, with poor heat and light resistance and poor water retention, so the clothes made of nylon are not as crisp as polyester.
