Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, formerly known as Zhuzhou Health School, was founded in 1959, renamed Hunan Zhuzhou College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1986, renamed Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1990, and upgraded to Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2004. The school is organized by the Hunan provincial government, with the Hunan Provincial Health and Wellness Committee as the administrative management and the Hunan Provincial Education Department as the operation director.
The school is located in Zhuzhou, the blessed land of Yan Di Shennong, the ancestor of the Chinese nation, an important transportation hub city in Central and South China, only 30 minutes' drive from Changsha, the provincial capital.
