In the fifteenth year of Chenghua, Wang Rui suggested that local officials report the advantages and disadvantages of the local government to the court, which was adopted by Xianzong. However, when the local officials reported to the court, Xianzong "hated what he suffered" and even beat up the prosecutor. At this time, the provincial judges in Huguang and Jiangxi asked the local people to avoid going to Beijing for pilgrimage on the grounds of disaster and robbery. Wang Rui immediately pointed out: "When the imperial court appointed officials, it just wanted them to be safe, healthy and concerned about the local area; Now the people are hungry and cold, and theft is rampant, all of which are caused by the dereliction of duty of officials. The crime of justice was used as a warning, and Gu Nai asked them to stay ... and then made unreasonable judgments on those who advanced and retreated. In the seventeenth year of Chenghua, Wang Ruisheng was promoted to this position. Xianzong then ordered that some people who sold exotic goods be brought to justice.

In the Ming dynasty, buying and selling official positions was very popular. In the winter of the 19th year of Chenghua, Wang Rui led his colleagues to go to court to remonstrate and recount the drawbacks of officialdom. Xianzong not only refused to adopt this article, but also hated this outspoken old remonstrator, and soon transferred Wang Rui from Kyoto to be the chief secretary of Huguang.

Wang Rui served as an admonition officer 15 years, and all his remarks were related to the important events of the imperial court. He repeatedly committed crimes and denounced power traitors. Because of his integrity, there is nothing wrong with power rape. He has worked in Huguang for three years and has made some achievements. Later, he died of illness and died at home.
