Efficacy of sliced ginger and garlic
Many people are used to eating breakfast outside, which is convenient and relaxing. My family has been insisting on cooking breakfast by themselves for years. On the breakfast table, steamed bread, bread, flower rolls, noodles, etc. It can change with the taste, but there is always a side dish on the breakfast table, that is, shredded ginger and garlic.
It is accidental that shredded ginger and garlic slices appear on my dining table. My mother suffered from stomach trouble for many years and couldn't eat for more than ten years. I heard from a Chinese medicine friend that eating shredded ginger and garlic slices for a long time for breakfast is very good for your health.
Ginger tastes pungent and warm, and has many functions such as dispelling cold and sweating, resolving phlegm and relieving cough, regulating stomach and stopping vomiting. Garlic has the effects of warming middle warmer, promoting digestion, promoting circulation of qi, warming spleen and stomach, resolving food stagnation, detoxifying and killing insects, especially its rich allicin, which can kill many pathogenic fungi, hookworms, pinworms and trichomonads. Eating garlic raw is an effective way to prevent influenza and intestinal infection.
Slice and shred ginger and garlic: peel and slice garlic. Let the garlic slices stand for a few minutes, so that alliin and alliinase can be fully combined in the air to produce allicin. Then wash and shred the ginger, mix them together, add a little salt for pickling, mix the shredded ginger with garlic slices, and sprinkle with sesame oil. A delicious side dish with stomach nourishing, appetizing, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects is ready. Whether eating steamed bread, bread or Chinese noodles, shredded ginger and garlic can be eaten with meals.
Not suitable for people who eat garlic.
First, patients with eye diseases
Chinese medicine believes that eating garlic in large quantities for a long time will "hurt the liver and hurt the eyes." Modern medical research has found that people suffering from eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataract, conjunctivitis, sty and dry eye will suffer from vision loss, tinnitus, dizziness and memory loss if they eat garlic in large quantities for a long time. Therefore, patients with eye diseases should eat less garlic.
Second, patients with hepatitis
Many people think that eating garlic can prevent hepatitis, and even some people eat a lot of garlic after suffering from hepatitis. This practice is wrong. First of all, garlic does not kill hepatitis virus. Secondly, some components in garlic will affect people's gastrointestinal tract, inhibit the secretion of digestive juice, and aggravate the symptoms of nausea and bloating in patients with hepatitis. In addition, the volatile components in garlic can reduce the number of red blood cells and hemoglobin in human blood, which is not conducive to the rehabilitation of hepatitis patients. Therefore, patients with hepatitis should avoid eating garlic.
Third, patients with non-bacterial diarrhea
Garlic has bactericidal effect, and raw garlic can be used to prevent and treat bacterial diarrhea. However, when people suffer from non-bacterial diarrhea, they should not eat garlic any more. This is because if such patients eat garlic raw, it will cause congestion and edema of intestinal mucosa and aggravate the condition.
Fourth, patients who are taking medicine.
Chinese medicine believes that garlic tastes pungent. It can inhibit the active ingredients of some drugs and even react with the ingredients in some drugs to produce toxins. Therefore, people who are taking medicine should not eat garlic.
Five taboos for eating ginger.
1, no peeling. Some people like to peel ginger, which can't give full play to the overall effect of ginger. Fresh ginger can be shredded and sliced after washing.
2. Anyone suffering from excessive fire due to yin deficiency, red eyes and internal heat, or carbuncle, furuncle, pneumonia, lung abscess, tuberculosis, gastric ulcer, cholecystitis, pyelonephritis, diabetes and hemorrhoids should not eat ginger for a long time.
3. Eating ginger is not as much as possible. In hot summer, people are prone to dry mouth, polydipsia, sore throat and sweating. Ginger is spicy and warm, and belongs to hot food. According to the principle of "heat is cold", it is not advisable to eat more. Just put a few slices of ginger when cooking or making soup.
4. Don't eat rotten ginger. Rotten ginger can produce a highly toxic substance, which can denature and necrosis liver cells and induce liver cancer, esophageal cancer and so on. That "rotten ginger doesn't taste bad" is unscientific.
5. From the point of view of treatment, ginger brown sugar water is only suitable for patients with stomach cold, cold or fever after rain, not for patients with summer heat or wind-heat cold, nor for treating heatstroke. Taking fresh ginger juice can cure vomiting caused by cold, but it is ineffective for other types of vomiting.
