Article 23 of Chapter III of the Adoption Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates: "From the date of the establishment of the adoption relationship, the rights and obligations between adoptive parents and adopted children shall be governed by the provisions of the Parent-Child Relationship Law; The rights and obligations between adopted children and close relatives of adoptive parents shall be governed by the provisions of the Law on the Relationship between Children and Close Relatives of Parents. The rights and obligations between the adopted children and their biological parents and other close relatives are eliminated due to the establishment of the adoption relationship. " According to this law, the rights and obligations between the adopted child and the biological parents will be eliminated as soon as the adoption relationship is established.
