Hengyang No.1 Technical School was founded on 1959. 1979 was renamed Hengyang No.1 Technical School, and in 2003 it was renamed Hengyang No.1 Technical School.
Hengyang Electromechanical Engineering School was founded in 1979, formerly known as Hengyang Agricultural Mechanization School, and renamed Hengyang Electromechanical Engineering School in 1997.
