The Historical Evolution of Xi 'an Qinling Wildlife Park
With the development of urban construction and the improvement of citizens' living standards, the narrow space and limited animal species in zoos can no longer meet the ornamental needs of citizens. Therefore, the Xi municipal government decided to build a large zoo on the basis of the original Hansenzhai nursery in the eastern suburbs. During the construction period, people from all walks of life in the city took part in voluntary labor. In just one year, a beautiful new zoo covering an area of 4 12 mu was built and opened to the public on May Day 1977.
