Do you know anything about the historical protection of Fuyang? Let's talk about it after reading these pictures.
Recently, the activity of "Looking for Fuyang Historical Protection" was successfully concluded. After screening by the organizing committee, nine clues of "excellent historical preservation" stood out. Let's have a look.

Mushi old house

Located in Cai Zhuangzi North and South Street, Nanzhaoji Town, Yingshang County, Fuyang City, the gate faces west and is close to the mosque. Rectangular layout, three-story courtyard, front yard, middle court and backyard. The main building is located in the backyard, on the first floor, facing south symmetrically, with three bedrooms and one living room, bedrooms on both sides and the top of the slope. The building is a brick-wood structure, with blue brick walls, blue tile roofs, wooden lattice windows and exquisite wood carvings between beams and columns. There are three study rooms on the first floor, located in the front yard. The two guest houses are located in the Intermediate People's Court. In 2003, later generations Mu Zhien was responsible for the investment and renovation, which completely preserved the original features of the building. The buildings here represent the characteristics of ancient houses in a historical period in northern Anhui in the Huaihe River Basin.

Gu Jing Baixiequan

Located in the north of Caishi Road, Banjing, Shuanglongqiao, Fuyang City, there is an ancient well named Baixie Spring, which originally belonged to Fuyang. According to Daoguang's "Fuyang County Records", "It is half a mile outside the West Gate, the foot is not full, the drought is not adjusted, and the taste is extremely sweet." According to the field investigation, Baixie Spring is located in the west vegetable garden of Liu Yong Temple, on the west slope of the former Bailonggou tributary. "Several people in the village saw a white crab in the spring, which was as smooth as jade, and was named after the spring when entering and leaving the cave." Due to the flood of yellow water, the spring eye was buried nearly 2 meters deep from the surface. Liu Tiren, a scholar in Qing Dynasty and a native of Yingzhou, once invited Jidong, a famous man from Jiangdong, to visit here. They "sit in a row, wash dishes and drink tea from the spring", thinking that the water quality in Gan Chun should be above Yangzhou daming temple Spring this spring. Liu Tiren is very excited and is willing to contribute to build a pavilion next to this spring to make it famous. Ji Dong was asked to write a note, and Ji Dong wrote an article "White Crab Spring" which was handed down from generation to generation. This article was included in the book Ancient Anhui Scenery, which attracted people's attention. Fuyang city also put forward the idea of development this spring. It's actually just an idea. Residential buildings have long been developed near Baixie Spring, and so has the North Campus of Wenfeng Primary School. I hope that White Crab Spring will become a highlight of Yingzhou culture under the protection and attention of the * * * department in the future.

A century-old well in Wuming Town

Located in Jinan, Wuming Town, Yingquan District, there is a century-old well. The wellhead is circular, with a diameter of about1.5m and a depth of several meters. From top to bottom, the shaft wall is made of wide and thick blue bricks covered with moss. Thirty years ago, some 80-and 90-year-old people in the village didn't know when and who built it, and no one knows now. I remember when I was a child, every time there was a drought, the old people in the village would always organize everyone to exchange money to dig wells, shoot guns and burn incense, kowtow and make a wish. Needless to say, sometimes it really works. Even more amazing, the old man in the village said that no matter how dry the weather is, the well has never dried up, and no matter how big the flood in Fuyang is (including Chiang Kai-shek's bombing of Huayuankou and Fuyang Yellow Water), the wellhead of that well has never been flooded. The water in this well is cool and sweet, and pouring it into a glass has a convex effect. Before running water was connected, people hundreds of meters around went there to fetch water and go home to cook and burn tea; Wash your face with clothes washed in your own well. After all, the ancient well in my hometown carries too many memories of my growth. She is like a warm mother, who has nurtured generations of our village with her sweet milk, bringing the feelings and distance of generations of our village closer. I love my hometown-Wuming Jinan.

Gutang, dam, ancient pagoda and water system in Wuming Town.

When I was a child, I often heard the old people in the village say that the oldest street in Wumingji is on the section extending 200 meters south at the junction of Jinan concentration area. The terrain here is 50 centimeters higher than that in April and Thursday, and more than one meter higher than the surrounding cultivated land. Now, there are thirty or forty families living here, almost all of whom are surnamed Zheng. In the east and west directions of this rectangular plot with a length of about 200 meters and a width of 100 meters, there are 10,000 square meters ponds in each direction, and there are seven or eight small islands scattered on the water (we call them gardens). These islands range from thousands of square meters to hundreds of square meters.

I remember when I was a child, my friends and I used to graze, catch cicadas and collect firewood on some small islands ... and some small islands could not go because they were surrounded by water. Connecting the East and West Reservoirs are suspension bridges at the north and south ends of Old Street. Now, the suspension bridge is gone: the bridge on the south side of the street has been replaced by the current bridge; To the north, it has become a smooth road since I can remember, but the name is still there, and that is the suspension bridge head-just at the junction of Jinan. Unfortunately, ten years ago, the garden water system of Luxi (where the water surface is larger, there are more islands and the environment is more beautiful) was almost completely destroyed and converted into streets. Only the garden water system in Ludong has maintained its original basic state. I often think that it will be a beautiful place to build it into a park if it is not changed.

Let's talk about the ancient well first. It's about 100 meters east in the middle of this old street. Surrounded by water on all sides, only a dam 60 to 70 meters long and two to three meters wide is connected with the living area. Twenty or thirty years ago, there was an endless stream of people carrying water from here. When we meet, we say hello to each other, or put down the pole to chat for a while and smoke a pack of cigarettes, all of which are affectionate. There are many people coming and going, so the roads here are always wet.

On summer nights, it is a place where people enjoy the cool. After a hard day's work, adults will spread mats here to rest and chat. We children bathe in the ponds on both sides of the dam, catch cicadas, catch frogs and fish around the pond ... Now, I often stand on the long dam, looking at the ancient well at the end of the dam, looking at the water surface of 10,000 square meters on both sides of the dam, and looking at the island in the lake on the north side of the dam, I can't help but think of such a question: Why is this ancient well so strange here that it needs such a long dam to connect with the living area? Just thinking, a bold guess came to my mind: perhaps, people lived here first, ancient wells first, then streets, and ancestors lived here first ... In order to prevent water and theft, and also to have a place to play in leisure, the ancestors here dug up the surrounding river pond and built some small islands (in my childhood memory, these islands were surrounded by water and were one or two people high on all sides). Moreover, Also, ponds can store water. What is the function of islands? Perhaps, in the process of digging the pond, they also encountered a problem, that is, they could not bear to part with this sweet old well, and there was no substitute, so they had to leave a dam to facilitate people to continue drinking well water. If so, this ancient well should be older than the surrounding pond, and it is probably a historical relic before the ancestors of Nanzheng in Wumingji settled here and lived and worked in peace and contentment.
