When people are old, one of the best ways to rest is to massage before going to bed. Massage before going to bed can relax meridians, make qi and blood smooth, protect the mind and promote sleep.

Massage before bed is easy to learn and operate. Below, I will briefly introduce the operation process of bedtime massage for more than ten years after my retirement. I believe that old friends can master it by themselves.

Massage navel

The palms of both hands overlap and massage with the navel as the center. First massage 60 times clockwise, then massage 60 times counterclockwise. Massage the navel is very helpful to help digestion.

Massage Hegu point

Hegu point is an important point on the large intestine meridian. Proper stimulation of Hegu point is helpful to improve coronary blood circulation, has a two-way adjustment effect on blood pressure, and can achieve the purpose of promoting blood circulation and lowering blood pressure. First, press and knead the right hand Hegu point 100 times with the left thumb and forefinger, and then press and knead the left hand Hegu point 100 times with the right thumb and forefinger. Hegu point is located in the heel of thumb and forefinger, at the position of tiger's mouth.

Massage Neiguan and Waiguan points.

Neiguan point is an important point on pericardium meridian, and corresponding to Neiguan point is Waiguan point on Sanjiao meridian. Pressing two points can prevent and treat cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and is effective in treating headache, dizziness, insomnia and anxiety. Neiguan point and Waiguan point correspond to each other. The former is cross-stitched on the inside of the arm and two inches on the wrist, while the latter is cross-stitched on the outside of the arm and two inches on the back of the wrist. Press the left and right points 100 times with thumb and forefinger respectively.

Massage laogong point

Press the left hand Laogong point with the right index finger 100 times, and then press the right hand Laogong point with the left index finger 100 times. Laogong point is an important point on pericardium meridian. Pressing Laogong point is of great benefit to the treatment of insomnia, depression, upset and neurasthenia. Laogong point is located in the center of the palm of your hand, at the fingertip of your middle finger when you clench your fist.

Massage Zusanli point

Zusanli point is also a health-care point, a big point on the stomach meridian, located three inches below the knee and outside the tibia. Massage Zusanli point is good for digestion. Massage the left and right points 100 times.
