Extended data
There are three common ways to interpret Shangshu: one is that Shangshu means "ancient" and Shangshu means "ancient book"; Another view is that "Shang" means "respect" and "Shangshu" is a "respected book".
There is also a saying that "Shang" means "Jun", because most of the contents of this book are records of the remarks made by liegeman about "Jun", so it is called Shangshu.
According to legend, Shangshu was compiled for Confucius. In his later years, Confucius devoted himself to sorting out ancient books and collected all kinds of important documents from ancient Yao and Shun to Qin Mugong in the Spring and Autumn Period. After careful editing and selection, 65,438+000 books were selected, which is the origin of hundreds of history books.
According to legend, after Confucius compiled Shangshu, it was used as a teaching material to educate students. In Confucianism, Shangshu occupies an extremely important position. However, in fact, scholars in the Western Han Dynasty compared twenty-eight articles in Shangshu with twenty-eight lodges, and the hundred articles in Shangshu were later generations.
After Qin Shihuang unified China, he issued a book burning order, banning people from collecting books. Poems, books and hundreds of works collected by the people should be sent to the government for centralized burning. The burning of books in Qin dynasty brought a devastating blow to the spread of Shangshu, and almost all the manuscripts of Shangshu were burned.
In the Western Han Dynasty, it is said that when King Lu Gong demolished a section of the wall of Confucius' former residence, he found another book, Shangshu, which was written in the font of the Six Kingdoms period before Qin Dynasty, and people called it the ancient prose Shangshu. According to Kong Anguo, a descendant of Confucius, there are 16 more ancient books "Shangshu" in China than the current "Shangshu".
According to legend, "Historical Records" was compiled by Confucius into one hundred articles, and then burned in the Qin Dynasty, which caused great losses. The main idea of this book is:
1, first, Ming Renjun's way of governing the people.
During the Spring and Autumn Period, when the holy king failed to act, tyrants appeared one after another, and the people were trapped in political abuse and suffered greatly. In order to save the world from danger and influence the world as a monarch, historians wrote down classics, hoping that people could master Yao Shun, Yu, Tang, Wen and Wu and let the world enjoy the rule of Yao Shun, Yu, Tang, Wen and Wu. Therefore, clarifying the way of benevolent government is the first essence of Shangshu.
2. Second, the way of a gentleman in the Ming Dynasty.
After Shi Zhou moved eastward, the affairs of people and ministers were far worse than before, and it was not uncommon for disorderly ministers to kill you. Historians wrote Zhou Shu, which recorded the way ancient sages and ministers treated the monarch, so that future generations could learn from it.
