Liu Ying, born in a martial arts family, began to practice martial arts at the age of 4 and practiced traditional martial arts for nearly 30 years. Former Beijing team professional athlete, national first-class athlete, and the fifth Wushu athlete in China.
He has won the biathlon champion of Tai Ji Chuan Taiji Sword in the national Wushu competition, the first prize of double swords in the national traditional Wushu competition, the first prize of national first-class athletes' fitness qigong referee, the first prize of Yijinjing individual in the national fitness qigong competition, the first prize of five animal drama groups and the first prize of Baduanjin group.
Achievements have been honorary head coaches of many martial arts institutions at home and abroad. Because of his superb martial arts, he was invited to participate in many films, including The Great Wall, Grand Prix, Asura, Kung Fu Yoga, Kung Fu Police, 749th Bureau, etc. During the filming of Kung Fu Yoga, he often discussed Tai Ji Chuan with director Tang Jili, and gave guidance to the details of Tai Ji Chuan's framework of Kung Fu superstars such as Jackie Chan. He not only achieved fruitful results in teaching practice, but also attached great importance to the study of Tai Ji Chuan Theory. He published various academic magazines and periodicals such as Summary and Analysis of Health Effects of Fitness Qigong, and participated in the compilation and optimization of Wushu routines for adults and children for many times.
