What is traditional Chinese medicine wax therapy? What are the main functions? What's the effect?
Wax therapy refers to a treatment method that uses heated liquid paraffin as a heat conductor to cover the painful part to achieve the purpose of treatment.

Paraffin wax is a kind of polymer hydrocarbon with the characteristics of large heat capacity and low thermal conductivity. Its main therapeutic effects are warming and mechanical compression. The former can dilate local blood vessels, promote blood circulation, diminish inflammation and reduce swelling, and has obvious analgesic effect. The latter makes the heat conduction deep and lasting because of the contact between paraffin and skin. Because human skin has a good tolerance to paraffin warmth, wax pad method can be used in the treatment of painful diseases. Put a wax pad soaked with wax (about 60% temperature) on the painful part, cover it with a tarpaulin, and wrap it tightly with a bath towel for 20 to 30 minutes each time, 1 time per day, 15 times is 1 course of treatment. The effect is good.
