Conditions of plant cell culture reactor
Various non-mechanical stirred bioreactors are widely used in plant cell culture, among which gas stirred bioreactors are commonly used. The gas stirred bioreactor has no movable stirring device, which greatly reduces the shear force and can be kept sterile for a long time. Gas stirred bioreactor includes bubble column and airlift reactor. The invention has the advantages of simple structure, high oxygen transfer efficiency, low shearing force, little damage to cells, easy realization of long-term sterile culture, and more suitable for plant cell culture.

Disadvantages: the operation flexibility is small, and the mixing effect is poor when the gas velocity is low, especially when the cell density is high in the later stage of culture. If the ventilation rate increases, it will produce a lot of foam, which will easily drive out carbon dioxide and ethylene in the culture medium and hinder the growth of cells. Excessive dissolved oxygen is not conducive to the synthesis of secondary metabolites in plant cells.
