Psychological defense against "epidemic disease" around the corner
The epidemic is still developing. By February 4, 2020 16: 49, the data showed that there were 20,502 confirmed cases, 232 suspected cases14 cases, 426 deaths and 669 cured cases in China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). Following the "closed city" in Wuhan, prevention and control measures across the country have been upgraded again and again, and the whole people responded "no going out, no gathering". Staying at home has become the best way to contribute to the fight against the epidemic.

But after staying at home for a long time and watching more and more epidemics, psychological problems began to stand out. No matter in the hardest hit areas or other epidemic areas in Wuhan, negative emotions such as tension, anxiety, loss of control and fear are also gathering and will spread and spread. The key point is that the spread of this panic is not isolated by time and space.

Therefore, the psychological prevention of "epidemic" is not only aimed at the people who are diagnosed, suspected and isolated at home, but also necessary to guide everyone to build a solid psychological defense line for the general normal population.

Psychology is not only a psychological problem, it will affect physiology and even lead to disease. It is easier to understand from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine.

First, exogenous six evils, such as wind, cold, heat, humidity, dryness and fire;

Second, internal injuries include joy, anger, worry, thinking, sadness, fear and shock;

Third, other factors, such as improper diet (immoral, unclean, partial eclipse), fatigue (overwork, idleness), trauma, insect disaster, poisonous evil, medical care and congenital factors.

The third category is temporarily ignored. Most diseases are of the first and second categories. Usually, we pay more attention to the first category, that is, diseases caused by exogenous wind, cold, summer and dampness. For example, the diseases that are popular now can also be attributed to exogenous six evils.

Chinese medicine attaches great importance to the seven emotions of internal injuries, because the seven emotions will lead to internal injuries of the five internal organs. However, internal injuries of five internal organs lead to insufficient internal qi, which creates opportunities for the invasion of exogenous diseases.

In general, the seven emotions are people's physiological responses to various stimuli from the external environment. Chinese medicine has a saying that anger hurts the liver, happiness hurts the body, thinking hurts the spleen, sadness hurts the lungs, and panic hurts the kidney. Different emotional changes will indeed have a certain impact on the functional activities of zang-fu organs.

If the mental stimulation is excessive, it will often lead to the dysfunction of yin and yang, qi and blood and viscera in the body, resulting in diseases. If anger injures the liver, the liver qi will rush up, and blood will rush up with the qi, leading to vomiting blood or fainting. If thinking hurts the spleen, the spleen will stagnate, health will be abnormal, and indigestion symptoms such as anorexia, bloating and diarrhea will appear. On the other hand, the imbalance of yin and yang of zang-fu organs and qi and blood can also lead to mental activity disorders, such as irritability due to insufficient liver yin (blood) and insanity due to excessive heart fire.

Huangdi Neijing says that "healthy qi should be kept inside, and pathogenic factors should not be done", which means that as long as there is sufficient healthy qi (which can also be understood as resistance and immunity) in the body, external diseases (wind, cold, summer heat, dampness, dryness and fire) cannot invade the human body.

The most important factor leading to the deficiency of healthy qi in human body is psychological factor, which is called overreaction of seven emotions (joy, anger, worry, thinking, sadness, fear and shock) in traditional Chinese medicine. In other words, it is precisely because of psychological overreaction (including tension, anxiety and panic under the current "epidemic situation") that the healthy qi in the body will fail (the immunity will be reduced), which provides a foundation for the invasion of external diseases. Therefore, Chinese medicine has the saying that "all diseases are born from the heart".

For example, before Wuhan "closed the city", everyone lived in the same environment, or people who took the train (plane) or got together later. Why are some people infected and others fine?

Why are infected people classified as mild, severe and dangerous, while others are virus carriers but have no symptoms (for example, COVID-19, a woman from Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, was diagnosed as asymptomatic after traveling abroad)?

Viruses are all the same, the difference lies in people's differences, more accurately speaking, people's resistance (whether the righteousness is sufficient).

In normal times, if you overreact psychologically, the reaction of the internal injuries of the seven emotions may not be obvious, or the performance is slow, and you often need to wait for the appropriate external evil to attack. However, under the current rampant environment in COVID-19, COVID-19 virus is easy to invade and be infected due to unhealthy psychology and insufficient internal qi caused by lax prevention.

Therefore, in the current special period, we should not only strengthen external prevention and control (don't go out, don't party, wear masks and wash our hands frequently), but also pay attention to the enrichment of internal righteousness (including reducing loss and increasing yang).

Heart sutra is the essence of Buddhist sutra. There are as many as 654.38+billion words in the Tripitaka, which collects all Buddhist scriptures. Condensed into 6 million words of Mahayana Sutra, then condensed into 5,000 words of Diamond Sutra, and then condensed into 260 words of Heart Sutra.

The Heart Sutra says, "Bodhisattva, according to Prajna paramita, the heart is not in the Tao. No obstacles, no terror, stay away from upside-down dreams, nirvana. "

Reading the Heart Sutra can make people understand the cause and effect, have no obstacles and be fearless, and stay away from reversing dreams in the wisdom of Buddhism.

Psychological hypochondriac patients are more likely to get sick under the current "epidemic situation", which leads to emptiness of internal qi due to psychological overreaction. First, they may really be infected with the epidemic, second, they may just have a common cold, and third, they may not be sick at all, but just feel psychologically. This situation should be adjusted as soon as possible. If it goes on for a long time, as Chinese medicine says, it will inevitably lead to internal injuries and illness.

Keep a positive and optimistic attitude. If negative emotions appear, adjust immediately and see the bright side of everything. For example, although the current epidemic is a catastrophe, it can make us calm down and think about the road we have traveled, let us spend enough time with our families, and let us re-examine our attitude towards all things in nature.

Stay at home and do more exercise. Not sleeping at night consumes yang, and not getting up in the morning is called killing yang. Yang Qi is the "righteousness" mentioned above.

Huangdi Neijing pointed out that in ancient times, everyone knew the way of keeping in good health, eating moderately, living regularly, not overworking physically and mentally, making appearance and spirit strong, enjoying life for a hundred years.

Nowadays, people regard wine as a sweet spring and drink too much; Take life that violates the laws of nature as the norm; Drunk to satisfy their own desires, so that the essence is exhausted and the true qi is dissipated; I don't know how to keep my spirit full, I don't know how to control the dissipation of my spirit, I just want to have fun and have fun freely; Life has no rhythm. Therefore, after the age of 50, it will age and degenerate.

Therefore, in sports, it is recommended to get up as soon as the sun comes out, even if it is simple running, brisk walking and radio exercises. If it is Ba Duan Jin, Wu Qin Opera, Tai Chi, or the Eight donkey kong of Taoism, or the Yijin Sutra of Buddhism, so much the better. Go to sleep before midnight (1 1 pm) at night, when the sun is shining. Only during sleep (or meditation) can the sun fully develop.

In traditional health care, light food belongs to yang, while thick and greasy food belongs to yin. Therefore, it is suggested that the university diet should be light to increase the yang (righteousness).

"Smoke makes the gas turbid, and wine makes the gas disperse." Those who eat at home without leaving the cup should pay attention to the right amount.
