First, pan-understanding
There are too many Yi-ology books and too many famous writers, so I don't need to go into details.
Because the modern books of the Book of Changes are too complicated and there are many introductory directions, it is very important to choose a suitable introductory book. I think if you have a foundation in classical Chinese, you can start with the original masterpieces directly. For the books on the market, I recommend the phonetic version of Zhouyi by Southeast University (simple horizontal phonetic version, with phonetic symbols and simple notes, with large words, but the disadvantage is that the well-meaning illustrations are messy). Another book recommended Zhonghua Book Company to read the Book of Changes (general edition, green book and audio can be required), without interchangeable words and illustrations. No matter which book it is, some controversial words, broken sentences and pronunciations will be different. Learn according to a book first, then read more books and judge for yourself. (for example, changing one's mind: one day/the next day is a blessing, etc. )
You must buy one of these two books, otherwise there will be many mispronunciations (such as quasi-divination).
Without the foundation of classical Chinese, there are many introductory books on the market. I personally recommend nan huaijin's Miscellaneous Notes on the Book of Changes, Zhang Qicheng's Yi Dao Trunk and Zhang Shanwen's Introduction to the Book of Changes. The characteristics of this kind of books are that they have a basic understanding and specialized vocabulary, so it is good to read extensively. Special note: I recommend nan huaijin's book, because it is incomplete, but it stopped when it arrived, so as not to go astray.
In addition, I especially recommend an iOSApp Yijing (the icon is the design of the thread-bound book marked with the words "audio synchronization"), which can be read at a speed, annotated and simply translated into vernacular.
Second, basic recitation.
On endorsement, different factions have different views, and think that it is necessary to recite, but step by step.
1, Zhu's (controversial) original meaning of the Book of Changes, three kinds of hexagrams, namely, "Eight Diagrams to Take Images" (Gan Sanlian ...) and "Dividing the Palace to Draw Images" (Doing Heaven and Wind ...), it is suggested to recite while drawing, otherwise it will be difficult to download the names of hexagrams (being done).
2. Biography of Preface (Guo thinks it is naive), which I think is the most needed to master the logic contained in Biography of Preface;
3. Say the first ten chapters of divination (Jin and Lu have different classifications in The Complete Interpretation of Zhouyi);
You'd better recite these first. Among them, Zhu's three hexagrams must be memorized, but it will save a lot of effort to have a basic understanding of the sixty-four hexagrams from the hexagrams sequence and diction. It is not difficult to recite the preface. Read it seven times a day, and you can recite it for seven days at most. It is said that biographies have a little more content, which can be recited with pictures to deepen understanding.
After reciting the above contents, you can evaluate yourself:
1, find a person, just say a hexagram, what number of hexagrams you say, what hexagrams before and after;
2, find a person, casually say a divination, what do you say about divination, draw it;
3. Draw your own gossip.
Next, I thought I was not in a hurry to read the classic notes, and I didn't understand the basic concepts, so I read them for nothing. Go deep into the basic concepts of the next step:
1, wrong hexagrams (six hexagrams of yin and yang are reversed into one hexagram, such as dry hexagrams into Kun hexagrams)
2. Comprehensive hexagrams (six hexagrams are reversed into one hexagram, such as the station hexagram becomes a Mongolian hexagram)
The so-called intricacies, as well as simple examples such as mutual divination, if these two are still unclear, you can put them down first and understand them more easily after reading through the classics.
There are seven basic divination symbols to master:
1, three talents;
2. Dynamic/static;
3. Change your mind (that is, change your mind and become a diviner);
4. Elimination/interest;
5. take/bear;
6. Improper location;
7. it shouldn't be.
These are easy to understand when reading the notes in classical Chinese. After understanding, as in the previous step, just find someone to say a divination, and you can tell what is wrong divination and what is comprehensive divination to evaluate yourself.
Third, the method of reading the Bible
At present, most of the divination outside is authentic divination written by Wang in Qing Dynasty, and of course there are books such as adding and subtracting divination (these two popular books on the market are from ancient Chinese medicine books, and the paper quality and proofreading are doubtful. If you want to start with divination, you'd better find a teacher and buy a good book on Confucius' old books online). Because these are the methods that Fang Jing accepted divination in the Western Han Dynasty, and accepting divination is not the only method.
Personally, I suggest a faster and more interesting method: I divine a divination every day (three coppers, coins without it, Baidu six-hexagram method, so I don't need to put hexagrams in my armor for the time being), and by the way, which hexagram to recite? At first glance, what are hexagrams, wrong hexagrams and comprehensive hexagrams, and what is the connection between them. If you can't recite it for a day, wait until you finish reciting it. Studying like this is like math and physics.
