The titles of "The Ninth Five-Year Plan", "The Son of Heaven" and "The First One" all show the supremacy of ancient emperors. You can have sex in one sentence and make thousands of people obey orders.

But there is only one thing that these best people can't control-their life span.

Ancient emperors wanted to live forever, but interestingly, most of them were short-lived. There are more than 20 dynasties in the history of China, and 209 emperors have exact dates of birth and death. The average life expectancy is only 39 years old, which is lower than that of ordinary people in ancient times. According to statistics, only four or five emperors lived longer than 80 years.

One of the most famous is Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. He is actually the longest-serving emperor in the history of China, and also the longest-lived emperor in history. He lived to be 89.

What is the reason behind longevity? What are the unknown health secrets of Emperor Qianlong?

In addition to the emperors who died in power struggles and accidents, we can sum up the following reasons from other emperors with short lives:

1, overworked

In fact, the hard work of the emperor is far beyond people's inherent impression. Because there is no such thing as going to work and getting off work, the emperor can be said to be the standard spokesman of the "007" working system.

For example, Yong Zhengdi only sleeps four hours a day, and most of his work is reading the paper and doing many things by himself. Finally, at 1735, he died in the best prime of his life because of overwork.

2. Too much sex

Whether it is overeating or partying at night, emperors often indulge in dissolute enjoyment because of their unlimited power.

Long-term intake of big fish and meat is actually harmful to the body, and the accumulated fat in the body is more likely to cause cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Long-term addiction to female sex will empty a person's body.

3. The medical level is backward

The level of ancient Chinese medicine was limited, and often a small cold could kill a person, so the average life expectancy of not only emperors but also ordinary people was only thirty or forty years old.

Even the best medical level at that time, in modern medicine, the means of treatment are still very limited. For example, some diseases that need surgical treatment and anti-infection can not be treated, which also leads to the short life span of emperors.

To sum up, the excessive use of the body is often the reason why the emperor's life span is short, so paying attention to health preservation is the only way to live a long life.

(1) A healthy and moderate diet.

Gan Long's diet has its own set of rules. There are only two meals a day, one snack before breakfast and one light meal after dinner.

As an emperor, it is normal to have a rich diet. The Empress Dowager, Empress Dowager and others will send food to Qianlong every once in a while. Even when Qianlong goes on a tour, officials from all over the country will offer local delicacies one after another.

These foods are rich in variety and attractive, but Qianlong is never full, only eating a small part, and the rest are given to ministers and concubines.

Gan Long's diet is dominated by fresh vegetables, supplemented by meat, and never full. I especially like eating fish in my later years, almost "a fish a day". Fish is high in protein and low in fat, which is easy to digest and can provide essential amino acids for human body. The contents of minerals such as calcium and phosphorus are also higher than other meats.

In addition, Qianlong does not drink or overeat, and such a diet cannot be shaken for decades. It can be said that paying attention to timely and moderate diet has laid a solid foundation for Qianlong's longevity.

I love hunting, visiting famous mountains and rivers, and keeping fit invisibly!

Emperor Qianlong visited Jiangnan six times, Wutai Mountain five times in the west and Taishan Mountain three times in the east. The length of each voyage varies, mostly between several months.

As the supreme position of the Ninth Five-Year Plan Emperor, there must be sufficient protection for going out to patrol, but under the traffic conditions at that time, it was not a comfortable thing to wade across mountains and rivers. The fatigue of going out to patrol helped Qianlong keep fit.

Not only that, Qianlong is good at shooting, cruising and hunting, and often goes out in autumn (the story of Mulan paddock shooting swallows). Emperor Qianlong, who insisted on exercising, also kept healthy.

3 have a wide range of hobbies and rich spirit!

Almost everyone knows that Emperor Qianlong has a rich spiritual life and likes writing poems very much. He himself said, "it is best to study poetry all your life."

While visiting the mountains and rivers, I wrote as many as 43,630 poems in my life, and its high yield is really admirable. Writing poems cultivates sentiment and regulates mood, and Qianlong can also be regarded as a "master" of self-regulation. If there was an official WeChat account at that time, Ganlong might still be able to keep his watch.

Learning to write and draw requires writing, the coordination of finger strength, wrist strength and arm strength, and the high concentration of thoughts and ideas, so as to achieve the realm of physical and mental unity.

Writing poems and practicing calligraphy often can not only keep active thinking, but also prevent and treat Alzheimer's disease, which is also a reason for longevity.

Gan Long is also good at tasting tea, and he loves tea all his life. He has studied famous tea, water quality and tea set. A follow-up study of 1.900 heart disease patients by Harvard University in the United States found that the death rate of patients who drank 1.4 cups of tea every week decreased by 44%. In addition, drinking tea can also reduce blood fat, clear away heat and wake up, and eliminate fatigue, which also confirms the efficacy of drinking tea for health.

(4) Don't eat the so-called panacea, the key is to take the right medicine.

According to the medical records of the Qing Palace, it can be found that although Qianlong likes to eat tonics, he is not interested in the so-called elixir and elixir.

Gan Long often takes prescriptions for invigorating spleen and kidney, such as Gui Ling, Gui Ling Decoction, and Jianpi Zishen Zhuangyuan Prescription. On the one hand, these prescriptions can improve people's physique, on the other hand, they also have a strong nourishing effect on overworked emperors.

Qianlong's father, Yongzheng, died of taking various unknown pills provided by the alchemist. At that time, in the medical system of the Qing court, there were already more scientific western doctors as consultants at that time, and they understood that such things were harmful to the health.

Coupled with the introduction of modern anatomy and other medicine, it is also an important reason why Emperor Qianlong can live a long life.

⑤ Desire can be restrained, and excessive indulgence hurts the body.

Ganlong can not only control diet, but also restrain indulgence. Gan Long once summed up his way of keeping in good health: "Breathe with your heart, exercise your bones and muscles, don't do it ten times and four times, and make up in time."

Among them, "four don't" emphasizes the view of "don't be fascinated by color" He is very restrained in his daily life and avoids indulging his own results.

From this point of view, Emperor Qianlong not only had a reasonable method of keeping in good health, but also was able to persevere, so he remained healthy until his later years and continued the peak of the emperor's life at the age of 89.

After that, people are exploring the secret of his longevity, hoping to achieve the effect of prolonging life. In fact, these secrets are not clever, just daily persistence.
