Revealing Emperor Kangxi's Way of Longevity: Don't drink or practice Qigong.
Emperor Kangxi lived for 69 years. He should have lived for a long time by then. Therefore, the regimen of Emperor Kangxi is worth studying. Looking through the classics, I found that Emperor Kangxi had many experiences in his daily life:

No smoking, no drinking. Emperor Kangxi thought that "alcohol, tobacco and betel nut are useless." Therefore, Emperor Kangxi did not smoke or drink in his daily life. There are some stories about Emperor Kangxi's dislike of smoking. For example, in the forty-sixth year of Kangxi, on the way around the city, the military camp caught fire. After trial, it was caused by the Fotai family smoking in the boarding house. So Emperor Kangxi severely punished him, shot an arrow through his ear and nose, and flogged the Buddhist platform for three months, flogging 100. Emperor Kangxi didn't drink white wine, not only himself, but also ministers. He thinks that alcohol is not only harmful to health, but also delays work. But I like drinking in my later years, because wine can cure diseases, so I should drink some wine properly.

Don't eat too much, don't be greedy. Emperor Kangxi's eating habits are relatively simple. He doesn't like big fish and big meat, but likes coarse grains and light meals. It is recorded as follows: "Being indifferent to body fluid can make people feel relaxed and happy" and "Shan Weng is old and eats rustic food", all of which are about Emperor Kangxi's preference for simple tea and simple rice.

If you don't practice qigong, you don't want to live long. Emperor Kangxi did not believe in Taoist qigong regimen. Someone offered him qigong, so he asked the eunuch to learn it and see the effect. Finally, Emperor Kangxi did not accept Taoist Qigong regimen. Emperor Kangxi did not believe in immortality either. He firmly believes that birth and death are natural laws and there is no way to resist them. At the age of 57, he had white hair and a beard. Someone immediately offered a beard, and Emperor Kangxi laughed it off. He said: "Since ancient times, the temples and scenic spots of emperors must be white, but there are few history books. I am lucky to be gray today. " Emperor Kangxi not only didn't feel bad about his white beard and hair, but regarded it as a beautiful talk. It seems that Emperor Kangxi has a simple materialistic view.

No tonic, no tonic. We in China attached great importance to tonics, but Emperor Kangxi opposed it. There was a doctor named Sun Sibai who used ginseng to prescribe medicine for Emperor Kangxi. Emperor Kangxi was impatient when he took over. Emperor Kangxi was furious and thought it was all the fault of ginseng, so he approved: "Sun Sibai and others are each responsible for twenty boards, and they are never allowed to practice medicine." Sun Sibai did not expect that the ginseng he worshipped ended his medical career. Emperor Kangxi also sneered at tonics. He was very dissatisfied when he saw that Yin Zi, the eighth son of the emperor, often took supplements. He said: "human nature likes tonic, but I don't know if it will hurt." Therefore, he advocates that everything should be natural and should not be pursued deliberately.

Of course, Emperor Kangxi also had his own views.

Early to bed and early to rise. Emperor Kangxi goes to bed early every day, goes to bed after dark and gets up early. In Yin Shi, he gets up at about 3-5 every day.

Put on more clothes. Emperor Kangxi attached great importance to wearing clothes, especially in winter, people are most likely to catch a cold. So Emperor Kangxi said, "I would rather wear too thick clothes than a stove in winter." Emperor Kangxi believed that it would be dangerous to catch a cold if you walked out of the main hall with less clothes.

Wash more hot springs. Emperor Kangxi likes to soak in hot springs, which was called "sitting in soup" in Qing Dynasty. He often goes to Jiuhua Mountain Villa, Chicheng, Zunhua and other places to soak in hot springs with his grandmother. He believes that sitting in soup can nourish the skin, please the body and mind, and cultivate sentiment, which is a good living habit. Of course, this "habit" is not something that ordinary people can do.
