Wuhan Evening News reported in June 13 that there were showers on the first day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, but the rain not only did not take away the summer heat, but the feeling of damp heat was more obvious. How to keep healthy scientifically in summer? Jin Yuan, director of the Department of Preventive Medicine of Wuhan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, gave suggestions from five dimensions: daily life, diet, exercise, emotion and TCM conditioning.

According to Jin Yuan's "Su Wen of Huangdi's Internal Classic", there is a discussion about summer health: "Summer March is called the beautiful month, where heaven and earth blend together, and everything is flashy, lying at night and getting up early, and being insatiable." This passage means that summer is the season when everything in nature is lush and beautiful. At this time, the atmosphere of heaven and earth intersect, and plants blossom and bear fruit and grow vigorously. People should go to bed late and get up early, don't hate long heat, and always keep a happy mood.

Huang Jinyuan said that combining the concept of "harmony between man and nature" in traditional Chinese medicine and modern lifestyle, some health suggestions can be given to the public from five aspects: daily life, diet, exercise, mood and TCM conditioning.

Daily life: Chinese medicine pays attention to nourishing yang in spring and summer and nourishing yin in autumn and winter. Although the weather is hot, it is not suitable for gluttony. In daily life, you can go to bed late and get up early, but don't stay up late. Avoid direct blowing by fans and air conditioners, and don't sit on the outlet of cross flow. Considering the high humidity at this time, it is suggested that the air conditioner should turn on the dehumidification function, the temperature should be set at not less than 26 degrees Celsius, and the clothes should be made of sweat-absorbing and breathable fabrics to promote the discharge of moisture.

Diet: Eat less fat, sweet and greasy, and eat less or no cold drinks in summer. These foods are cold and wet and easily affect the spleen and stomach. You can eat more seasonal vegetables such as green beans, green beans and bitter gourd. Eating "bitterness" helps to nourish your heart.

Exercise: Exercise before sunrise, and the intensity should be slightly sweating to avoid excessive sweating and loss of body fluids. Indoor activities are the main activities during the day. Tai Ji Chuan, Baduanjin, yoga, aerobics and other light sports are recommended. After sweating, don't blow against the cold wind or drink cold drinks.

Emotion: keeping healthy in summer "makes it lifeless". Better not move. To avoid violent mood swings, cultivate more hobbies that help to relax, such as reading, calligraphy, painting, singing and so on.
