How to Cultivate the Self-care Ability of Small Class Children
First, through demonstration exercises, teach children how to take care of themselves.

Children who are new to kindergarten have poor self-care ability, but strong imitation ability. Through positive demonstration, let children see the correct self-care methods, and let children know the essentials of completing basic actions with short and easy-to-understand tips. Then let the children imitate the practice. Such as hand washing: its rule is to wash your hands before and after meals, clean them and leave no dirt. It is obviously difficult to ask children to complete these basic actions independently and consciously. They often only wet their hands with water, which means washing. So we will teach you the correct way to wash your hands, and demonstrate the whole process of washing your hands: roll up your cuffs, wash your back, rub hard, wash off dirt, wipe your hands with a towel and hang up the towel. After the demonstration, let the children practice and give individual counseling to the children with poor ability. After a period of training, children can master the basic methods of washing their hands.

Second, let children learn self-care skills through game activities.

It is more appropriate to combine some labor skills with games and let children receive the cultivation and training of labor skills in a subtle way. Such as "buttoning" training: we use the form of cloth-sticking games. First, stick the tree and leaves together, button the appropriate seat, cut out fruits of different colors with cloth, and buttonhole them, then let the children tie the fruits to the tree. Such training also includes small animals and beautiful flowers. Young children are full of energy and soon learn.

Third, use vivid and interesting language to stimulate children's interest in self-care.

Children's thinking has concrete and vivid characteristics, and it is easy to accept some languages that describe the life phenomena of specific things. Therefore, using vivid and interesting language can arouse children's interest and desire to learn some boring labor skills. Such as folding a handkerchief: let the child know that there are four sides at hand first. Then teach children how to fold a handkerchief: put the handkerchief flat on the table, grab one side with both hands, say "I shake hands with the opposite side" and fold the handkerchief to the opposite side. The children are also learning and shouting while folding handkerchiefs. Another example is dressing: we first let children know about collars, sleeves and skirts, and then teach them to dress: the back of the clothes is facing themselves, holding the collars with both hands and shouting "It's windy!" Leave your clothes and report to your body; Then continue to say, continue to do: "I am not afraid of the wind, show my little head and put my hand into my sleeve." The children shouted, laughed and made clothes in their hands, very happy.

Fourth, through encouragement, stimulate children's awareness of active participation.

Children in small classes are emotionally fragile, with poor ability and strong fear. Adults should not ignore their little progress, but should encourage them to show the minimum desire for independence. For example, the child buckles himself, but the position is wrong. First of all, we affirm the child's sense of independence and praise him: "Really capable, I can button myself." Then correct: "It's just a small button that enters the wrong door. Can you deduct it again? " Make children have a good mood and improve their self-confidence. With the passage of time, children's self-care ability has been continuously improved. Regular appraisal can cultivate children's persistence and consciousness. We created the column "Hands of Capabilities" in our class, and made a sub-item evaluation according to the self-care ability and skills of small class children. Such as: dressing, buttoning, wearing shoes and socks, holding a snack cup, eating snacks by yourself, washing hands, arranging toys, moving chairs, etc. Each item is represented by a concrete picture. For example, holding a dessert cup with a picture of the cup, tell the children the requirements one by one. reach

Children with certain requirements can get a red five-pointed star in the corresponding place. Whoever gets more red five-pointed stars proves that his little hands are the most capable. Children are self-motivated, praised and appraised, and will work harder.

Five, through family cooperation, urge children to complete the work of self-service.

We mainly use parent-teacher conferences, contact books, columns, daily communication and observation to strengthen home cooperation. For example, at the beginning of the semester, according to the short-term observation of children, master the skill level of children's self-care ability development. According to the requirements of the education syllabus, make the project plan of children's self-care ability this semester, and fill in the specific labor items in the form. Hold a parent-teacher meeting to inform parents, so as to gain their support and achieve consistent family education methods and goals. In the process of education and teaching, we often communicate with faculty and staff to fully grasp the situation of children's labor, and keep in touch with parents through contact books, short talks, column introductions, etc., to understand the children's performance at home and put forward cooperation requirements. At the end of the semester, we will fill in the form by mastering the development level of children's self-care ability. And report the child's development to parents in written form, so that parents can understand the child's self-care level, so as to better cooperate with kindergartens and let children complete the requirements of self-care ability faster and better.

Through more than a year of research and exploration, we have organized various beneficial educational activities for young children. Enrich and increase the life experience and simple protection methods of children's self-care ability. The results of the experiment make us realize that cultivating children's self-care ability is a reliable guarantee for children's survival.
