The taste is pungent, bitter and cold.

Function: clearing away heat and toxic materials, relieving swelling and pain. Used for diphtheria, sore throat, enteritis, dysentery, mastitis and tripterygium wilfordii poisoning; Allergic dermatitis for external use.

Usage and dosage 0.5 ~ 2 Liang; Appropriate amount is applied externally, mashed and applied to the affected area.
