Huotong Ancient Town, known as "Fenghuang Ancient Town" and "Small Guilin" in eastern Fujian, is one of the best ancient towns in Fujian. The ancient town is 47.7 kilometers away from Ningde city. According to legend, in the Zhou Dynasty, Huo lived in Huolindong, hence the name.
There are mountains, water and ancient houses in the territory, and Huotongxi runs through the ancient town.
