Taoist practice life in Laoshan Mountain
(Note: The following perspectives are all Tian Chengyang Dojo)

Our life of practicing martial arts in Laoshan Mountain: practicing martial arts on a moonlit night, the rising sun wins a meal, pushing hands under the moonlit porch and breathing in Sendai, not only keep fit, but more importantly, learn valuable health preserving methods of Taoism and inherit the fine tradition of "immortal Taoism cherishes life". Taoism in Laoshan belongs to the all-truth and pure school, which does not emphasize fasting and pays attention to health preservation and health preservation. Many Taoist priests with a profound sense of morality have emerged in the past dynasties. Today, two widely circulated Dan Scriptures, Dacheng Yao Jie and Daoxiang Collection, are both from Washan, and the Taoist priests here have another feature, that is, they all advocate "both internal and external cultivation and the combination of dynamic and static", which is still the case today. There are six old people in the Taiqing Palace in Laoshan Mountain, all of whom are well-trained and handsome. When many tourists see them, they are often surprised and ask them questions. They often have beards and say with emotion: "This is all due to the leadership of the * * * production party!" In a word, it shows that since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee, the religious policy has been well implemented, and the elders are infinitely grateful to the party and the government.

In fact, each of these veteran leaders has a set of dynamic and static skills, both in form and spirit, and never stops.

Kuang Chang is a long monk in his eighties. He is familiar with Taoist innate martial arts and Wudang Neijia Boxing, and his medical skills are excellent. In the fifties, I often gave classes to Qingdao sanatorium and spread Qigong. /kloc-after returning to the temple in 0/980, at the request of Qingdao qigong circle, he compiled "Basic Essentials of Congenital Qigong". Every morning, I lie in bed and start exercising. My whole body is "soft as cotton and hard as iron". Although he is old, he can still cheat and kick his leg over his head. He often receives visitors who admire him, and sometimes talks for a long time without any tiredness. Someone asked a question, but he smiled disapprovingly: "The so-called' standing, sitting and lying down' cannot be separated from this. Well, if I talk, I can still go back to Yuanhai. Why bother? "

Li Zonglian, a Taoist, was originally from Guang Yun Cave Prison in Tiechashan, Liaoning Province. Before liberation, he went to Laoshan to live in seclusion. After kung fu, the fire in the abdomen can melt the candle in his palm, and his hand can lift 200 kilograms of stones. Li Daochang is ruddy as a lad, with few white hairs, which shows that he has a profound foundation. He also compiled qigong exercises suitable for himself and insisted on exercising his bones and muscles.

Taoist Sun Zhen, near ancient times. It is said that he practices Bagua Boxing and meditates every day. I see him running around the Taiqing Palace every morning and often go for a walk by the sea after dinner. Sometimes he is convinced when he sees him in front of the famous wax spring "Shenshui Spring" in the morning.

Taoist Liu Zongcheng, 80 years old. His training methods are different. He always lies down and never meditates cross-legged. He lies on the mountain during the day and in court at night. He works harder on sunny days, and it rains, freezes and snows all the time. In addition to practicing boxing, he also planted the unknown "Taiyi Xuanmen Stick". Before liberation, several bandits robbed the temple. He danced with his hands and sticks, exerted great power, and beat the bandits to flee, which became a beautiful talk for a while.

Taoist Wang Zizhen is old and thin. He goes to the seaside every morning, taking a walk, breathing and exhaling, and replaces practice with labor. When I first returned to the temple, I was still wrapped in white, but later it was a little dark.

Cui Jing, which is more than 70 miles long, is the longest Buddhist path when Laoshan became a monk. He pays attention to spiritual practice, and his sitting skill is quite deep, so far it is as black as paint.

Today, qigong is popular all over the world, and a few people in the society see that there are loopholes to exploit and pretend to be descendants of Taoist Dragon School. Some people actually claim that they were handed down from the Taoist priest in Laoshan, making up lies and making big money under the guise of teaching Qigong. However, some experienced people in Laoshan Mountain are practicing in obscurity, seeking neither fame nor profit. In contrast, how noble their moral character is, "the virtue of a gentleman is like a fool", and they pay attention to self-cultivation. I think this is the foundation of their health and longevity. When I first arrived in Laoshan, there were few Taoist priests. At that time, Master Kuang paid great attention to our training. Every day after breakfast, before dinner, when there are no guests on the mountain, all the people get together and the elders take turns to give us lectures. It has a wide range of contents, except temple affairs, mainly focusing on the cultivation of health, their experience, cultivation, breathing and regulating qi, and the taboo of monasticism.

Master Kuang also created the Three Character Classics, Treating the Mystery Tablets, and the Secret Recipe of Metaphysics. We also need to study the related chapters of Journal of Taoist Association, Lv Zu Quanshu, Sanfeng Quanshu, Wuzhen Pian, Zhouyi Shentongqi, Dacheng, Guizhi of Life and Wuzong. Through learning, we have a general understanding of Taoist theory, especially the theory and method of health preservation.

Besides cleaning toilets and planting vegetables, Master Kuang often personally takes us to practice martial arts in the morning and evening, which is very lively and our energy is great. Summer, summer is not afraid of mosquito bites, winter is not afraid of cold snow, but happy, so everyone learned some kung fu.

There are also many places to practice on the mountain. Sometimes, when the sun rises, one climbs the mountain to see the sea. Li Bai once wrote a poem: "I once went to the East China Sea and ate Xia Zi in Laoshan Mountain", which really made people intoxicated with nature and had endless fun.

In addition, in order to meet the needs of opening to the outside world and tourism, many film and television producers continue to shoot films in Lashan, with the participation of Taoist priests from Laoshan every time. In addition to chanting, paying homage to temples, farming and other projects, there are also martial arts performances by our little Taoist. We have played a very good cooperative role in the government's external propaganda work.

1In August, 985, when I visited Louguan with two Taoist friends, at the request of Ren Falin, we performed what we had learned in Pangshan, which was warmly welcomed by Taoist people on the stage and local onlookers, winning glory for the mountain gate and strengthening the ties between famous mountains and temples. I remember that before I became a monk, I just graduated from high school, but I was just a scholar. Since I entered Lashan, I have gained a lot, regardless of health, martial arts and qigong, but my muscles and bones are relaxed, I seldom get sick, and my spiritual world is richer.

When President Chen Yingning was alive, he attached great importance to Taoist health preservation. He once asserted that if there is this thing, there will be Taoism. I also deeply feel that keeping in good health is the essence of proper education, which is worth discussing.

Fortunately, with the stability and unity of society and the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the health-preserving skills accumulated by Taoism for thousands of years have spread all over the country. Foreign Taoist studies also attach great importance to this aspect. As a Taoist, I think we should inherit this fine tradition, carry it forward forever, and benefit society, mankind and future generations. "immortal Taoism, life is precious and people's hearts are infinite", which is the real purpose of our Taoism.

I thank the elders who raised me, and I sincerely wish them health and longevity. I also hope that in the future, with the continued help of our predecessors, our young Taoists will carry forward the fine tradition of attaching importance to health preservation in Laoshan Mountain and make a modest contribution to the Taoist cause in new China.
